Excellent Swedish food restaurant where most famous recipes can be found at high level of quality, either in terms of ingredients and cooking style. We particularly enjoyed the outstanding service at table and the warm welcome of the owner. Strongly recommended for foreigners who are looking for a special atmosphere

Staff were excellent, couldn’t do enough for us. When we missed the closure of the buffet they went out of their way to provide us with a fantastic cheese and biscuits board. Definitely recommend.

Very interesting restaurant with friendly staff. Food was large portions and good value. Swedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce were a hit. The red deer was delicious. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I had a reservation and I arrived 30 minutes earlier, I was offered to wait or if possible return at the time of my reservation. We went for a coffee and went back 5 minutes before the reservation, however we waited for around 20 minutes to be seated, and a better table was given to some people that arrived at the same time as us but without reservation. So pretty much the reservation is quite useless.

Venison stew: meat was extremely dry and tasteless (as if it had been reheated). Luckily it was replaced by decent (but not extremely tasty) meatballs (tried better versions in other Stockholm restaurants). The best dish was the herring toast: nice syrup bread, good presentation and very balanced flavour and texture.

Very authentic and fun. Super service- the waiters where present, despite the fact that they were very busy. Drinks landed on the table from the beginning, making us feel welcome. The food was excellent and everything just worked to our satisfaction. Thank you for a great time. We will definitely be back

The food is great and the restaurant is pretty. The waiter is a little pushy that he tried to take away our bread during the meal several times (we still ate them with wine).

Kvarnen Restaurant is a must if you are visiting Stockholm. The food is amazing and the Service is great. I will definitely go again once I come back to Stockholm. Loved it!

It's the second time I go there to eat, in my opinion they make the best meatballs in Stockholm at absolutely affordable prices! Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it if you want to eat traditional Swedish cuisine, including game dishes!
