+2We stumbled across this great little brasserie on our first night in Strasbourg … we loved it so much we went back on our final night. Great Service, including the chef popping out to ask you about your meal, excellent food, in a relaxed and friendly environment.

9/10A lovely little restaurant off the beaten path with very traditional French food. A new menu every day. We had the Cordon Bleu and an amazing fish dish in a Beurre Blanc sauce with a side of risotto. Every bite was delicious. We ate every bite. The chef and owner came out to see how we liked our meal. A lovely dinner. I’d highly recommend! P.S. if you love Absinthe or would like to try it, they offer many different kinds and the owner will show you how to enjoy it. They also offer a flaming Créme Brûlée with Absinthe and an absinthe sorbet.

5/10It was particularly disappointing to have the second half of our dinner at L'Absinthe marred by the cigarette smoke that was allowed to come in from the outside pavement tables. We had hoped to sit out there ourselves on what was a very warm evening, but chose instead to sit inside, which was less comfortable, in order to avoid the cigarette smoke. So it was doubly uncomfortable to endure both heat and secondary smoke which not only ruins the taste of a meal but can affect our health through no fault of our own. We won't be returning, unfortunately.

10/10We had a terrific dinner for 13 people tonight. Service was excellent and the food was to die for. Get the Chicken Cordon Bleu or the duck! Delicious!

10/10Me and my daughters really appreciated the friendliness and openess of the hosts, that suggested some typical dishes that were sublime. We had meat, fish and poultry - and finished with 3 desserts. Everything paired with local good wine. I will come here again

9.5/10This restaurant was a great alternative to the touristy places closer in Strasbourg to the cathedral. Food was very good, mostly locals were dining, and the service was great.

5.5/10Staff service was fair but false advertisement. Food was decent. However, I am not happy about the 40% off advertisement as the server/restaurant did not apply 40% off on the meal despite me making a reservation with 40% off discount offer. Not cool experience.

10/10Wonderful experience for Christmas Eve dinner. The gentleman who served us also made the foie gras and dessert- both of which were excellent. We felt welcomed and relaxed spending our evening here enjoying the delicious food.

9.5/10We ate a good dinner at this restaurant in Strasbourg. The menu was small but the food was delicious. Service was good and the ambiance was traditional. We used the Fork 40% discount- I think it would have been expensive without it.

8.5/10Hidden behind the Alsace Museum this local restaurant ( ma y locals dining there) has very good food. The restaurant has a limited menu but very tasty.

9.5/10Very nice experience in general. I would only suggest to work a bit more on the presentation of the fisted and focus on French kitchen if you are a French restaurant as a lot of options from the menu were from anywhere else but not France ;-)

5.5/10We were generally overlooked for most of our time at the restaurant, starting with trying to order a glass of wine after 45 minutes. It seemed the locals got allot more of the owner's attention. He left us to google and ask the French diners nearby to help interpret the menu, some descriptions which also confused them. My husband was not advised that his Thai steak dish would be served COLD, and my beef dish was ordered medium but arrived as rare stew meat with frites. Having waited a long time for the wine, to place the order, and receive the medicore food... We certainly wondered at all the amazing reviews we had read.

3/10Reservation was for 20:00. Arrived and was promptly seated then ignored. Other parties arrived and were served. We sat in plane site and waited until 20:30. We then left.

4.5/10A bit disappointing. Food was below average. Waiter was kind, but the only waiter, so we had to wait like 15 mins to get the menu. We would not come back unfortunately.

10/10I think it’s not intending to be a tourist trap, it seemed to me a honest place where the locals like to spend a nice evening dinner. Nice atmosphere, and excellent food for a decent price. Very friendly staff too! I would like to recommend this place.
