Our family of five adults were very happy with this restaurant recommendation from friends who had dined here a month before us. It’s one of the best we had in Provence. The food, including presentation and service are top notch. My son who has dined at Michelin star restaurants says the food is Michelin quality! Don’t skip dessert… fun to choose from the case and carry back to your table. And so good!

9/10We had a party of 12, so we required more attention than most tables. There was a reservation for over a month, so it was not a surprise visit. The staffing was inadequate for the capacity of the establishment. It was challenging to get the server’s attention to get additional bottles or glasses of wine. The wait staff was working very hard, they just needed more help. Unfortunately, our party left frustrated rather than thrilled. Good service would have changed that entirely, as our patience ran out. We didn’t even bother to order dessert.

10/10This beautiful restaurant has an idealic setting just off the city center of St Remy du Provence. The staff is excellent and very friendly, the wine list is very good with a great selection. The food is amazing! I had the roasted chicken and it was perfectly cooked with a wonderful crunchy skin, moist and juicy, succulent meat. My wife had the lobster linguine, the lobster was tender and the pasta was perfectly al'dente. The pastries were just as wonderful, with a great selection. I highly recommend this restaurant! If I am ever back in St Remy I guarantee that I will be reserving a table!

8/10Solid cooking, decent atmosphere, very peppy and cheerful staff. Magnificent foie gras; respectable scallops; somewhat generic desserts. Do you see a trend line there?Overall, good value in a very touristy town.

Two of us shared the roast lamb and a Caesar salade on Thursday. Oct. 17, 2024. We ordered two aperitifs to start and passed on immediately ordering. Too soon the waiter was back to take our order. After asking him to return when we finished our aperitifs, he stated he would just take the order and hold it until we were ready. Well foolish us, first he brought the rather expensive wine out before we finished our aperitifs, to taste. From there the food descended upon us in a rather hurried fashion. This took much of the enjoyment from the very finely prepared meal. I think the kitchen and management should know how the waitstaff rushing the diners undermines the dining experience! Perhaps they were more concerned with missing their bedtime! No usual extra gratuity was given for above average service, it was barely average. My fault for not calling a halt to the rush job. And in France, of all countries!

Had the set lunch menu. Delicious! Started with the most unique Caesar salad then the rabbit stew and finished with a decadent chocolate tart. Hubby is vegetarian and loved his gazpacho soup and gyoza. They were both very flavorful and the presentation was wonderful. Our waiter and all the staff were extremely nice. Beautiful dinning room. Highly recommend this gem!

9/10I live in St Remy and this relatively new restaurant is a real find in a town where tourist pressure can sometimes lower standards. Equally good to eat in the stylish interior or on the excellent terrace. A negative shout out to "The Fork" who sent me a negative email for being a no-show even though I and my guests arrived precisely on time.

9.5/10Based on a friend’s recommendation we made reservations for lunch at L'Aile ou la Cuisse. We were quickly impressed with the speed of service and the waitstaff’s attentiveness. But, the food was the highlight of the meals we have eaten over past 4 weeks in France. We ordered tuna steak on a bed of rice with vegetables and beef steak with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. Both delicious. The baba rum cake for dessert was out of this world!

We went there for dinner and the terrace was beautiful, the dishes very well plated and delicious and the staff was very attentive. We’re definitely going back there sometimes. There was also a special menu for a really good price that people around us (as well as us) took. I highly recommend it !

5.5/10Service was brisk to the point of brusque. In all we were served at different times by 7 people, some of whom did not know we had already ordered a course. ! We had to repeat our name to different people several times for the booking. The waiters seemed to find our name confusing or amusing. Plates were whisked away at speed and delivered at speed. Not relaxing at all. Food was adequate but, rather catastrophically, waiter number 6 mixed up our beef plates and gave us the opposite cooking request to our orders, meaning we spent half the meal not enjoying the food. Very slapdash. It was clear the waiters had no real connection with the kitchen or the food experience, they were just there to speed everything up. The whole thing seemed to be a money machine and very pleased with itself.
