Nice smallish restaurant away from all the tourist traps, although clientele was mainly American, so it‘s not that secret! Starters were a bit bland but steak was very good. Friendly service and would definitely go again next time we‘re in Como.

Everything we ate (and we ordered generously and ate well) was spectacular. The service was, too. Truly phenomenal.

The pasta and all of the meals were very good and was very creative. I appreciated that. My son ordered the Irish ribeye steak and it was very undercooked and he could not enjoy it (he asked for Medium Rare, and it was fully Rare— very chewed, could not digest) Other than that, it was a great experience. Thank you and would love to come back

+1The food was fantastic! We got a 5 course chef-selected meal for €100/pp. The price was insanely affordable for the quality of food! We will be going back here if we return to Como. Be sure to make reservations.

Overall, we didn’t have any serious issues, however, for a Restaurant of this cost, about €100 per person (4 people with only a total of 2 glasses of wine), one expects excellence in every aspect. The starters were just OK, nothing to write home about. We had the shrimp risotto and the tuna tartare which were average. For main course, we had a large Italian 60-day aged T-bone steak, just under 2 kg. It was cooked correctly, and was quite good, however not outstanding as one would expect. Besides, we’re also mediocre, the beans were quite good, the potatoes were OK, and the greens were not good. The dessert, crêpe Suzette, was not prepared the table side as always should in a restaurant like that, and was OK but not spectacular Service was good. Overall, not so good, if the cost was half this review would have more stars because it would gain on value for money.

A fantastic venue with a lovely atmosphere. The host is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable without being pretentious. The food is imaginative while staying true to classic recipes and perfectly cooked. Every dish we had we were still talking about on our way home to our rented apartment. Very extensive wine list that has everything you could ask for at every price point. Does look overwhelming at first read, but is well laid out and the staff can quickly help you find the bottle you are after. The only issue is we only found this amazing spot on our last evening and therefore couldn't return before the end of our trip! Sincerely hope we get to return one day!

+1We had. A wonderful evening at L’Antica - we were welcomed in and hosted perfectly all evening ! We had the set menu - which was phenomenal , from oysters to steak and then the goo-Iest of brownies ! Everything was perfect and as a celiac, I was very catered too. The gluten free bread was the fluffiest I have ever had! Would definatly return , the food was wonderful , drinks list endless and hosts most welcoming !

We selected L'Antica for a Saturday evening meal during our Christmas holiday in Como, especially with its numerous Michelin Awards, but not impressed !! ... We are culinary experts and can say the food was average along with ambiance, possibly Saturday evening was the wrong time to eat there as two large parties arrived during our meal. In addition the overall cost for the meal was expensive for what we ordered 216 euro - 3 people each having a starter and main course with drinks, and we left without a dessert as disappointed with the whole experience. I'm not sure how The Fork came up with a £40 average price per person as a guide price, they should review this.......... Would I recommend L'Antica on our experience........ NO

The food and the service was amazing. Really good quality food, specialty steaks, truffles galore. What especially stood out is that everything on the menu was gluten free, with 1 exception. The waiter was very knowledgeable regarding celiac disease and it made our gluten free dinner completely unforgettable!

We have eaten here before for lunch and enjoyed the meal and wine. This time we ate dinner there and we’re seated upstairs. The space was very simple but elegant in design and decor BUT the lighting was too bright for an evening meal. We had three servers working the upstairs area, who were very polite and efficient in taking our orders and bringing something when we asked. The food as always was very tasty and well presented. I would recommend going but ask to be seated downstairs!

A restaurant can have the most delicious food and the best ambiance but it is always, only as good as its customer service. L'Antica shines in this category. Our table was provided discerning and efficient service by a revolving group of employees who all seemed so happy to be working there. It is a rare and magical event when this happens. Roberto was especially engaging and his passion for seasoning the food at the table with the exact right salt and herbs had us sprinkling a mixture of sea salt blended with rosemary from his own garden on our meal! It was a game changer. Make a reservation, you will not be sorry!

Great experience. The service was very attentive and personal, everything was explained in detail, and we never felt like we were rushed or abandoned. Really enjoyed the set menu and thought it offered a great way to try multiple things without breaking the bank. Food quality and variety was superb. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Spontaneous lunch in Como. We were pleasantly surprised by absolutely amazing food. Well prepared fresh ingredients with seasonal flair. Extensive wine selection and helpful staff. Michelin recommended.

It all starts with the meat. From treatment, curation, butchering to cookery. This restaurant is a serious meat place. Have enjoyed steaks from Chicago to Tokyo, and yet if we are close in that region we attempt to stop a night at Como to enjoy L‘Antica. It is a great value, and fun. Try it!

It was faultless in every way. Menu was not too complex. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere was great. Food was presented well and there weren’t long waits between courses but we were not rushed at all.

This restaurant managed some very impressive and creative primi, including pasta with chestnuts, and outstanding meats on their ib house grill. All the while offering excellent service, at reasonable prices. Kudos!

Very nice italian food. The meat to complliment it was perfect. The tartan was amazing too. The service was really good, a place to go if you are in Como.

The food is Very tasty and the staff is very friendly ! but compared to the price they ask, the portions are small for an italian restaurant. The wine list is really nice !

We visited this restaurant last night and it was the highlight of our Como visit. Choosing the food and wine was like a consultation of what our preferences are, where the food is sourced from and the differences between one dish and another. Our waiter was fabulous, so engaged, passionate and knowledgeable about the food and wines. But I have to commend all tge staff at this restaurant, they all made us feel welcome, there was no rushing us along and they all seemed happy to be there, which says a lot. We walked in and immediately felt comfortable! The food itself was just amazing, beautifully presented and packed with flavour. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
