Food and service was very good but outside sitting in these heat almost 40 degree no fan and the fireplace next to the table was not fun ,no inside sitting so we didn’t enjoy the food so sorry 😔

Fantastic Food and great Service but it would be more fitting to have table cloths and no background music. All together a great experience! Especially the service regarding the wine was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

We loved the atmosphere and service. the meals were good and in good quantities. Only remark is that my pasta had very little fish on it, I suggest to make it richer. Wonderful dinner overall!

Went for Valentine’s Day, honestly couldn’t ask for more. The service and the quality of the food was outstanding, both my girlfriend and I were so satisfied by all. Thank you very much for the amazing night. See you soon.

Very besuitiful restaurant. Every dish very tasty. Excellent service, wonderful sommelier. We enjoyed the whole evening tremendously.

Outstanding ambience, setting and service! So glad we went. Food interesting, innovative, and beautifully presented. Fabulous wine and wine list, including some very reasonably priced. The Sommelier also took us to the 1st century AD crypt, now wine cellar. Wonderful experience overall, highly recommend!

The food is excellent, service took quite a bit of time although waiters were all very polite. Pricey, but you get what you pay for at a unique location.

Extremely small portions for high prices. Not to leave hungry you’ll have to eat a lot of bread and sweets after the meal. Nice setting, but definitely not worth what it costs.

The restaurant is very elegant with his antique architecture design. Because of the season, the tables were set in the garden around an olive tree decorated with fairy lights . The lighting and the beautiful table setting were very romantic. The food and the service were first class. I will definitively go back

We came for a special birthday dinner and everything was wonderful. The wine cellar is incredible, make sure you see it! The food was so fresh and delicious and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Very good restaurant, located in an exceptional setting - a beautiful room on the Via Appia Antica. The food is really excellent.

Was a little skeptical at first because a guide told us there was nothing to see out there (Via Appa) and had not heard about the restaurant. The cab ride was 15 minutes and it was a very welcomed change of pace compared to the hustle and bustle of the piazzas. Was positively impressed with the garden and we had a wonderful time. The pasta was extraordinary. The level of service and food is much higher than the usual piazza restaurant and, yes, somewhat more expensive, but, in genera,l a much better value.

Wanting to make our first wedding anniversary extra special while on a family holiday in Rome, we found this little gem of a place and we booked it through TripAdvisor. Our meal was simply perfect on all levels. The service was impeccable and the food was mouth-wateringly delicious. We decided to choose both the fish tasting menu and the meat tasting menu as we wanted to try everything that was on the menu. The waiter recommended the perfect wine to go with all the different tastes and we also got a free glass of their house prosecco. The atmosphere is one of romance and authentic Italian. A must for any foodies out there!!

I would travel back to Rome just to visit this restaurant. Exquisite food, beautiful setting and generous, well-timed service. In a city of great food, L'Archeologia is something very special.

Great place for a romantic date, food is great. Not easy to get to and from but well worth the trip. 30% discount applied no issue, but they couldn't find my reservation at first.

Really nice place out on Appia Antica but always worth a visit. Using good ingredients in a creative way. Great wine selection. Friendly service. With the 30% off on this Sunday night it was a really good deal. Beautiful garden setting but in winter also the room is nice and cosy. Something for a special meal but i always think i should come more often.

Everything about the restaurant is great

The service, setting and food were simply outstanding. The trip to the 2000 year old wine cellar was the cherry on the top. Sadly a very noisy family were having a private party in another part of the restaurant and we had to be moved because of the noise. The noise followed us as the children from the party ran in and out of the toilets right by our table. I think the restaurant should have done more to control the party.

Food was great staff don't speak much English but they try very accommodating great place definitely need a taxi or bus there to far for a walk at night will definitely recommend to others
