The restaurant is rated 8 to 9 so I tried it. Apparently the good reviews are people ordering steak. I tried the Magret de Canard and I was very disappointed in the food and the plating of the food. There were carrots and potatoes that looked thrown onto the plate haphazardly. with a bland watery sauce. The potatoes were barely cooked. The duck was in two pieces on top of the vegetables. It must be a new plating technique learned in school cafeteria. The duck was well done, very chewy, and full of gristle. I had to spit out several pieces. Maybe it was leftover duck from Aldi? Definitely not the right dish or restaurant. The service was very good and the glass of wine was fine.

This is our idea of a great Paris restaurant. Small, cozy, interesting decor. Good food served by great people. Loved it!

Amazing staff and food. Lovely ambience. I had made a note that it was my birthday on the fork app and the staff gave me a lovely chocolate mousse with a candle. A really lovely touch. One of our waitresses was helping with our French 🇫🇷 Also the best red wine 🍷

A bistrô which has been consistently good throughout the years. The onion soup is delicious and the duck breast is always outstanding. For dessert the awesome mousse au chocolat. The midi formule E29 is really a bargain.

My husband ate there before as a guest and he really liked it, so we decided to book the restaurant on the first day of our trip in Paris. Everything was great! The escargot I had could have been warmer, but it was okay. The main that we had -- duck, and the sea bream were all delicious and we loved the sides too that were really filling. We are still tasting. The English language menu was helpful for tourists like us. It was a bit too warm inside the restaurant and we would have appreciated a bit more air-con but we also understand in Paris people don't use a lot of air-cons. Thanks and we will come back.

Excellent onion soup, savory grilled sausage with mashed potatoes & grilled chicken Kebob with jasmine rice. Finished with the best run baba with whipped cream.

The steak, French fries and potatoes are good , however the duck breast is disappointing. It's served in very raw condition which the knife can hardly cut off at the first time; and served in too well done conditions when I ordered it to be half-cooked.

Watching my wife fumble with the escargot ala Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman was an added feature to my dinner. The meals were wonderful...the forementioned snails were succulent. Although not a connoisseur I did pick an excellent wine to complement our grub. My ribeye was perfect and tender. The staff was also accommodating of my broken French. Overall a great experience on the fifth anniversary of my wife and I meeting for the first time.

L'Atelier seems to be very popular with the expat crowd judging by the folks who arrived for dinner on the Sunday we went there for my birthday. No worries! The service couldn't have been more attentive every step of the way, which has generally been my experience returning to Paris after an 11 year hiatus. No one seems to hesitate to speak English to us poor folks who never studied French. I ordered the steak au poivre but it didn't come with the typical creamy black peppercorn sauce that I was anticipating. Instead just a brown gravy with some green peppercorns, which was good for the French fries l, but not that impressive or peppery for a place that boasts about serving the French classics. Still my bone marrow appetizer and the cafe gourmand with the trio of mousse, creme brulee, and fresh fruit more than made up for everything. Plus the ambience was so cozy and warm!

We have the three-course dinner menu. The magret was very well cooked and tasty and the souffle for dessert was excellent. I only wish the menu would not include dishes for which you have to pay extra, sometimes up to 12 euros.

I had the duck breast and my wife had the flank steak as main courses. Both meats were tough. The restaurant was slammed with customers, but we found the service to be good in spite of that.

Food selection covers all tastes. Our dishes were well prepared and beautifully presented. Wine list is thoughtful and covers all tastes, regions and price points. One of our long term favorites in Paris.

We really enjoyed our dinner here for our family of four. The service was very jovial and friendly and the environment had a fun vibe. We each enjoyed our meal, including our 21/18 year old daughters.
