10/10we love this restaurant. It’s amazingly pleasant and the food quality is amazing. This restaurant is worthy of a trip to the town. It’s in not just for people in the town already.

8.5/10Wonderful local French restaurant in a tiny village. We spent a week in Le Bar Sur Loup and discovered two gems. One of which was L’Ecole Des Filles. Our French isn’t great but they made us welcome and we had a fabulous bottle of champagne for my wife’s birthday for less than £50 that would never happen in the UK. Professional waiters in France are fantastic. Crème brûlée to die for.

10/10A lovely venue for a relaxing leisurely lunch. Easy parking. We were warmly welcomed and seated outside in the shady courtyard under the boughs of a mature tree. We felt at home. The menu was explained in full by one of the two attentive waiters. We got menus written in English too. The food was delicious, fresh, tastefully decorated & served efficiently. The timing between courses was just right. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant that is indeed off the beaten track on the Riviera but WELL WORTH exploring. Thank you for the experience. !

9.5/10We had an excellent meal. It was well prepared and presented by friendly and attentive staff. They were not fazed by the fact that we had an unexpected 3 year old with us - they made him feel very welcome.

10/10Can this be more perfect ? Underneath a dark sky eating perfectly prepared food. Sharing a bottle of wine that touches heaven. Staff is friendly and know what they are doing. We will be back to this gem.

9/10We visited L’Ecole des Filles during our summer holiday in Le Bar sur Loup. The food is French, and it is really good. The restaurant is popular, so book a table during summer. We can only recommend this restaurant.

10/10This is the best restaurant within a 50 mile radius. It’s crazy but it’s fairly easy to get a table. We visit 5 or 6 times during our 2 week vacation. Lovely food - lovely service. Don’t miss out - make your day and make the trip (easy parking outside).

9.5/10Non standard dishes. Fresh products. Starter, main dish and dessert at the same solid level. It is not the first time I attend this restaurant over the last years. First time in late winter though. Solid.

10/10Parking is in a small lot reserved for the restaurant clients, just across the street. Cosy place with good food. Great service. Dogs allowed. English-speaking équipe. Will definitely be returning.

10/10What a hidden gem! everything was delicious, very well presented and speedily served (even though there was also a large group (wedding party??) there at the same time as us. We also really liked the interior decor (that we got to appreciate when it started to rain a bit too much for the parasols on the terrace).

10/10We have been many times over the last decade but stopped due to Covid. We were very impressed as they revamped the decor internally and externally when they had to shut due to Covid. In our view the food is even better than before and it was good then. The service was brilliant with both waiters running fast to the kitchen throughout service. The ambiance superb under the trees in the garden. Highly recommend and we shall go again soon.

10/10It's always a pleasure to make the road up the the summer freshness of Bar sur Loup, escaping the heat of the coast, and have a delicious dinner under the huge linden trees in the garden of "L'École des filles" restaurant. If the choice is not huge, you can choose any item in the menu with blind eyes as everything is excellent and based on fresh products worked with love and patience. I strongly suggest you try the "Black Demon" 2020 Malbec Merlot wine from their good selection. Very good value for monney, which makes the trip inland even more interesting. An address I strongly recommend. ????

10/10The most fabulous restaurant. We’ve been coming here for more than 20 years (a 3 year break because of covid measures). The food never disappoints and the guys who run it are very lovely. We’ve booked it for 4 lunches during our 2 week vacation. Love it! For me it’s Michelin standard food.

10/10We first came to ecoke 2 years ago for the first time we were very impressed with the Standard of the food it was very good indeed . So last night another visit ,eating outside it was full , again excellent food a gazpacho Then breaded hake covered in a a mesh of cucumber delicious and unusual There are just 2 waiters who are a bit pushed but they managed it well they clearly care

10/10Lovely little restaurant with a charming courtyard for outdoor dining. The restaurant is built in a former girls’ school and they have little touches inside as a reminder. The food itself was well cooked and presented, and good value for money. The service was attentive, and we appreciate the waiters speaking with us in English considering the restaurant was clearly a local haunt. The only constructive criticism I’d offer is that they should have at least one vegetarian main to accommodate for all dietary requirements.

10/10Lovely atmosphere and great food. We enjoyed octopus starter, crisp sea bass with many perfectly cooked vegetables, veal, and shared a delicious little chocolate dessert with a morsel of pear ice-cream. Plenty of space for air to circulate so it felt safe also. Will return!

10/10The restaurant is up in the hills in a lovely old schoolhouse.. The food is exquisite, beautiful presentation, and the cooking is exceptional. The chef uses seasonal ingredients and his menu is small but perfect. The staff were very professional. I will return again and again.

9.5/10Very well cooked and presented seasonal cuisine, the menu changes every Monday accordingly to the season availability. Welcoming and sunny interiors with original objects from when this restaurant was a girls school. Authentic and happy place
