Nice food, nice service. Beware portion size of salads. They are huge, certainly a meal in themselves.

Great location and nice place. Was hoping for truly special and while good and I would be happy to eat there again it wasn’t particularly wonderful. Tables for 2 seem to be crowded by the door and we were seated right next to the kitchen pass through which detracted from the evening ….

The food, location and atmosphere were excellent. A great value, and away from the intense crowds. Also, the staff was patient and very helpful. I would recommend going there again!

Another winner discovered thanks to TheFork (this is becoming a nightly habit!). Tremendous value-for-money with more than fair prices matched with large portions. But large portions by themselves means little if the cuisine was not good. Happily, not the case here. Wonderful, homestyle-like cooking, friendly attentive service and a great, satisfying, filling meal.

The bouillabaise and the grand aioli were spectacular. Service was slow because the place is so popular staff is running all the time. Crowded but wonderful.

A very good french restaurant, every service was delicious but beware that portions are very big. The apetizer was the size of my usual main meal...We had the fish soup and scallop feuilleté, then I had the duck and my husband had the fish (lotte). The service was very good as well, I warmly recommend this restaurant

Great provencal food at a lovely local restaurant!

Brilliant restaurant with superb food. Had slow cooked beef in a wine and stock sauce served with rice. It was delicious. A very nice local wine from Arles to complement the dish. Highly recommended with friendly and efficient service.

Staff very kind, but we had to wait really a lot from one course to the other. Chairs were not very comfortable.

We just spent 6 days around Provence and the food was great, but this was our absolute favorite spot. The food and wine were amazing and they had all of our favorites (escargot and duck among others) and the best creme brulee I've had. The atmosphere was charming and authentic. I can't wait to return.

This charming Arles restaurant is a real find. Every dish is a "Wow!". We had the Crispy Goat Cheese & Fig Jam appetizer which is served with salad and is a generous portion for two. For the main course, I had Lamb Shank which was very tender with a delicate gravy, served with an array of perfectly cooked vegetables. My companion had the Petite Boulliabaise which was far from petite! For dessert we shared the best Creme Brulee I've ever had and I have been coming to France for many years. It was served with a unique homemade vanilla ice cream. Our bill for 84E was very reasonable for the quality of the food, service and ambience. There are less expensive restaurants in Arles but none as enjoyable

Food is decent, but the service very slow and the ambiance bad. The restaurant was full with large tour groups, including the tour guides speaking loudly across the room and having to act as waitresses because the service was so slow. We complained, and just got a rude response. Even if the food is okay, don’t go here unless you want to eat surrounded by tour groups and tour guides.

Excellent choice for Provençal food. Both my husband and I had the menu du jour which is an amazing value. I started with the Soup du Poisson and he had the escargot. Both were excellent. I had the Camargue bull dish which is served like a beef bourguignon and my husband has the octopus dish. Both were very good- we paired it with a Tavel rose which was a great choice.

We had a fantastic meal at L'Escaladou. Every dish, whether it was fish, bull meat, or even the children's menu, exceeded our expectations. The chef is truly remarkable. Visit before they earn too many Michelin stars!

Food is good, nothing to say. But the service.... Endless waiting, not a smile, not a little help - we only received constant annoyed looks by the staff, wonder why. We arrived at 19:30, orders were taken at 20:00, food arrived at 21:30...

Totally overrated restaurant. Extremely slow service and the dishes were quite mediocre. After a long wait I had Mules au gratin as stater. An ok dish, nothing impressive. After another very, Very long wait i got the entrée consisting in the Aioli Provençal; quite disappointing because no taste and the aioli wasn’t enough to give kick in any flavor. Finally the crème brûlée was a good ending, but nothing extraordinary. The most disappointing part was the extremely slow service, and the errors in delivery the dishes. Arles has some very good restaurants, this wasn’t one

While staying in Arles, we chose L’Escaladou for our dinner after a long day of travel and sightseeing. My mother and I each had the escargot for an appetizer and the duck for dinner. It was absolutely superb. The escargot were different than the usual smooth white shelled versify, these were more like mini conk style and roasted versus sautéed. They were served with a garlic aioli which was the perfect combination. The duck was perfectly prepared in a honey glaze with poached peach slices on top. The combination of flavors were Devine. My wife and daughter each had one of their omelette dishes and both said they were fantastic. The service was prompt, helpful and courteous.

Really enjoyed our dinner here with friends. Definitely recommend the starter with the crispy goat cheese and fig preserves that was served as a salad and could have almost been a meal in itself. I had the duck with peaches as my main course and it was very good. The desserts were also excellent. Friendly service! Not a large place so suggest a reservation which you can do online.

The food is generous and beautifully cooked and presented. The fish is outstanding. The staff are welcoming and service prompt. Altogether a really lovely place.

The service was absolutely awful. We were seated and had to catch someone's eye after 10 minutes to ask for a carafe of water. 10 minutes later, no carafe or menus. We went to the counter and collected the carafe ourselves! No apologies. The food took ages to come and when it did, the dishes arrived at different times - the last dish arrived 25 minutes after the first dish! Again, no apologies. The bouillabaisse was disappointing and tasteless. Choose somewhere else to eat!

Just okay. Fish soup adequate and the fish cooked fine but no real flavor. I'm finding that the French food in France isn't what it used to be in all areas. Nice ambience and good service.

We had ailloli and it was just ok les d'escargots de mer and les moules were tasteless and the green beans and potatoes overcooked, it seemed to be quantity more than quality, very disappointed

This was the best meal of our trip to France! We enjoyed the cozy ambiance, the warm and friendly service, and the authentic and delicious local Provencal food. We are still talking about this wonderful meal!
