The ambience of leather banquettes and dark wood paneling with interesting photos let us know this was not just the average typical Sicilian restaurant. And then the food arrived and we knew it was a special dining experience. From the savory canolo filled with cod crème in a Marsala puddle to the homemade tortellini, light as a feather with just picked mushrooms, Suppa de pesce, rich and full flavored and the joyous orange semifreddo with fennel poached in orange served with pomegranate it was a meal to fill the senses. Chef Salvatore’s creative use of local ingredients, layering flavors in each dish was magical. His love of cooking and food evident in every bite. A most memorable meal.

Excelent taste. Risoto with bufala milk and tuna fish, octopus with red lentils just amasing. Good service and ambiance. Highly recommand

+2Everything was fine. But i've order the lobster and it was frozen and when they bring it to the table was still Ice în it... The rest of the food was ok. Service, especially the girl, was very nice. The prices were a bit to high....

The food was delicious, and the menu is great, you can choose from many options! The service was very kind, and helpful! Would recommend to give it a try if you’re near by!

The service was okey but they were to busy to really attend the guest outside, so questions was left unanswered. Most busy inside. Food in average - good but no wow factor.

Pleasant enough ambience. The food was good (not great). Octopus was badly overcooked. Should have sent it back. Quality did not match the price point.

This Restaurant works on a different level. You enter and you feel no longer in Cefalu but in some fancy city. Like Milan or Vienna. Impecable service, nice anbiente. The food tries to bridge between refined and traditional. In my case it didn’t quite work, the artichoke I had as a starter could have been so much better. The fish was excellent. Next time I’ll come again.

Of course we couldn't taste everything, but what we managed to do was memorable. At first glance, traditional Mediterranean dishes and pasta, but prepared in an extremely different and very tasty way. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff is top! Greetings from Bulgaria and thank you!

L'oste al 7 fully merits an exceptionally high rating. In the first place the dishes are not only extremely tasty but make innovative use of a wide range of Sicilian products. The calm but friendly style of the restaurant lends itself to providing thoughtful descriptions of the dishes and their ingredients. Remarkably, prices are very reasonable -- and that even applies to the wine.

The service was okay but food was mediocre at best. Pasta was bland and after an extended wait the lamb was overdone and had an off flavor. Not impressed at all.

A very nice restaurant, a very nice and knowledgeable waiter. Traditional dishes combined with seafood. Very good dishes combined with less good dishes. We especially enjoyed the traditional eggplant salad, pieces of enricot, sea fish fillet, seared tuna pieces.

Lovely restaurant in Cefalu. Meals were great and service pretty attentive by Italian standards.

friendly family run restaurant, huge portion and honest food. Something for the whole family to like on the menu. I had the swordfish, my son the napoli pizza (best he's had apparentely), my daughter the Porcini pasta and my wife the cacio e pepe pasta, Very reasonably priced (the pizza was 7 euros!). We went back 2 night later.

The food was excellent and presentation was beautiful we met the chef Luca and gave him our thumbs up. Will definitely come back and highly recommend it. Ciao from the group of nine from Montreal

Our food was good and my daughter was especially happy with her linguine with clams and fresh beans. The Tuna with a sesame crust was also very tasty and the octopus salad was excellent. The fried fish platter ordered as an entree was very salty but a big portion as were most of the deep fried orders we saw being served. Unfortunately the salad we ordered never arrived although it was on the bill. We had to ask extra, to have the bottle of wine we ordered served to us and my husband’s order somehow got mixed up and came after we had all finished eating. Altogether too many mistakes from the service… They gave us a special English only menu that perhaps confused things. We could just as easily ordered from an Italian one if it would have made the communication easier. Basically good food with friendly but disorganised and slow service.

This is a great little restaurant tucked away in a little street. The service was friendly. The food was really excellent and we will happily eat there again.

Gorgeous food. Friendly service. Swordfish mille-feuille was particularly tasty, as was the pork. Wine selection good. We sat outside. Not the prettiest of courtyards but ok. Only wish I hadn’t ventured inside as (I can’t say this in any other way) it smelt of the urinals (just the other side of some swing doors). Real shame.

Regarding the bad smell I apologize for this inconvenience, but it was not from our bathroom, we clean it every night and before opening we do a check if something has escaped, surely what she heard is caused by a problem of the condominium that we have communicated several times, it happens (although rarely) when there is a sirocco wind. I apologize for the inconvenience but we care about cleaning.

Booked a table for 9 pm. Arrived at 8.30 and wanted to start with a drink while waiting. Impossible to order - they simply did not understand our request - big confusion due to lack of communication skills. Food in average - Pasta with anchovies was fantastic but lam chops overcooked hence dry.
l'oste al 7good evening Ms Susanne, thank you for the review, I'm sorry that something didn't go well. the cooking of the lamb is the same for everyone and many have complimented it, except if rare cooking is requested, we will pay more attention. I'm sorry for the initial misunderstanding, we will pay more attention to this too.

Fabulous restaurant. Food was amazing. Staff very friendly and fun. Great value. We had lamb ribs and seafood spaghetti. 2 desserts and wine 🍷. Definitely recommended ❤️

It was my partners birthday the staff were so kind in starting our evening with two glasses of Prosecco and also gave us a lovely dessert. That was such a bonus to our delicious Frito Misto which was huge as a starter, and our delicious pasta mains, especially the seafood dish Nothing was too much for the very attentive staff, who were lovely and friendly. We will definitely return
