I came here for dinner 7 years ago and had my favourite pizza ever which is the ‘Pizza Caruso’ - tonight I finally got the chance to come back and it was just as good - Grazie Mille

food beautifully presented and delicious. we sat in the front part of the restaurant which has a cheerful, brightly lit lemon covered arbor. there is a larger, more dimly lit seating area out the back which appeared to have a more romantic atmosphere. friendly, warm welcome and attention from the manager/owner.

THE BEST MEAL we've had after 10 days in Italy. THIS is the only restaurant we had the pleasure of eating in where EVERY course was PERFECTION. The amberjack & vegge Special had a capsicum sauce and soft pillowy cheese clouds that radiated every tastebud in my mouth. The octopus and potato appetizer - every combination of tastes on the plate was a surprising symphony of oils, tang, mouthfeel, and sublime goodness. I want to eat here EVERY NIGHT we are in Sorrento to try every dish. The risotto, the carbonara, and, if we really want to risk it - the pizza. We also ordered their mussles with french fries as a side order - it's like they knew we were coming. Heaven. Service was professional and clean - complete masterpiece. THANK YOU La Basilica!

La Basilica is a wonderful restaurant. The menu offered a variety of unique options and everyone in our party had an amazing meal. The staff and service were fun and welcoming. A great atmosphere and beautiful meal in the heart of Sorrento.

My must eat in restaurant when in Sorrento, without apparent blasé this place is worth the visit as I eat here either with extended family, business associates or just my mrs

We were seated and then ignored. I told our waiter we were ready to order an apertivo. He proceeded to put tablecloths on empty tables, assist other customers. We got up and left. Would not recommend.

Big restaurant targeting on tourists. Pizza was too normal to be in Italy, for example. Seems to be unwelcome if booked by TheFork. We were not allowed to choose a quieter same size table besides us and made to sit at the street path just 2 steps away from the standing waiter of opposite restaurant. Only 3 minutes later a walk-in couple (without reservation) sat at the table we asked for before. When we want to pay by TheFork Pay, the lady cashier immediately gave us an upset face and felt annoyed. We still could not figure out why.

A great find in Sorrento where the choices can be overwhelming. By making a reservation we sat in the main section of the restaurant which was a wonderful bistro like environment. The prices were reasonable and all the food choices were very good. Had the tempura zucchini flowers as an appetizer and the Sorrentine potato dumplings as a main. The service was firendly, a little erratic as were most places we visited since staffing is still an issues.

The atmosphere was enjoyable, with the lemon-theme fitting right in with being in Sorrento. Service was excellent! Very impressive. The food was fantastic! I had the pasta with zucchini & cheeses, my wife had the gnocchi, and my daughter had the lasagna. We each tried the other's dishes. Each one was very delicious!

When we saw the restaurant we thought how cute. The service unfortunately was not so great. Our food took forever (I think they forgot to place it) m. We were the first table to sit, about 7 tables sat after us, all received their food and we were still waiting. The owner tried to make things better with a complimentary refill to our drinks but the waiters helper filled our cups with a completely different wine which ruined our drinks. On top of all this they did not have the AC running nor did they put fans to make it more comfortable. Really wanted to like this place but was very disappointed.

The food was lovely and there’s so many wine choices, so if you’re a budding sommelier this is the place for you. It was busy last night, but just make sure you have a few hours and you’re not too hungry as we didn’t get our starter for an hour and we had to work hard to flag someone down for a drinks order

Very disappointed with food quality. I tasted 4 different plates and they were all terrible. Worst meal in Italy so far, and prices above average. Service was passable.

We didn’t feel welcome. Waiter was unfriendly. Pizza described as broccoli but was spinach. Tasteless Would not go again. Sea bass was well presented
