8/10We ordered the lobster fricassee and their North Sea Fishermen's Bouillabaisse. I found the lobster fricassee sauce to be a bit on the sweet side but the amount of lobster was sufficient (considering the price of 45 Euro). The bouillabaisse was delicious. There was a generous amount of fish and I loved the soup. Plus this dish came with some crispy bread and a sauce that was spicy. We really enjoyed the main course. We were not so impressed by the starter we had - Skate and Tiger Shrimp Terrine. However, this could be because we don't usually eat terrine in my culture.

10/10Great food and wonderful, friendly service. The atmosphere is old world and it is very easy to have a conversation across the table in a normal voice. Overall, a delightful meal!

10/10We last came to. Brussels in 2006 and ate here on New Year’s Eve. Tonight brought back many memories. It was lovely to meet the same owners again- so welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent again. Another wonderful evening. Thank you!

10/10We booked this restaurant based on other reviews, and we were not disappointed. We had such a great time with excellent service and excellent food. The owner (82) walked around working and chatting with the guests, and the experience was well worth the money.

4.5/10Overpriced (40 euros per dish) and stingy portions (ie one potato, one mushroom a sides). They served salmon that I need to prepare myself (DIY) with in two bowls onions and herbs… very disappointed

9.5/10A traditional slightly old fashioned restaurant proposing Belgian cuisine classics. Expertly prepared dishes presented in a traditional unfussy fashion. Service is sharp and friendly. Wine list refined over the years to match the food menu. Menu is seafood and fish oriented. We shared a bottle of chablis, a starter and ate 1 sole meuniere and 1 sole sauce homardine. All delicious but at a price.

9/10Although we have been here a number of times and always had wonderful experiences this time the waiter seemed less warm and we had inordinate waits for water, bread, starters etc. We were lucky the table next to us were friendly to us and they repeatedly asked about the delays. And since they came 40 minutes after us. Their inquiries seemed to trigger our service. Such a disappointment. We have visited here every time in Brussels and this was our second visit on this trip. We were delayed in Paris due to train stoppage and had to change the reservation several times. Maybe that was why he was so unfriendly. But it certainly wasn't our fault about the trains. To be fair this is likely at least the sixth time we have dined here and it has never been less than amazing in the past.

9.5/10The restaurant is family owned and you can see it in how they present their restaurant to you. The service was top notch and the food was some of the best food that we have tasted in Brussels over the years. We highly recommend this restaurant.

7/10Very dated atmosphere and menu. I like simple good food especially the fish and it was cooked excellent. The chips were very poor. Many items not availableso limited menu. Lobster bisque was very good as well. But not good value for the money.

10/10This is the best traditional Belgian restaurant in my neighborhood and one of the best in Belgium; it fully maintaiins its quality in all respects. I missed it when I was nearly two years away (in the US) , during the pandemic, So glad to be back!

9.5/10We were received very politely and received further restaurant recommendations by the waiter Henk after the very good dinner. The restaurant is a Brussels institution, design like a venerable and stylish restaurant from the 60's (in a positive sense). We had a very tasty menu of seafood and would advise very detailed about the dishes. A good value for money and a very good address for authentic, high quality food. A regular restaurant of the local gourmets and no tourists. It was my second time there and I will definitely visit it again on my third visit to this beautiful city.

10/10It was a nice evening in a real fish restaurant with a perfect wine. The atmosphere was like in old Brussels times. The starters (fois gras and saint jacques) were excellent, the main courses (turbot sauvage and sole) wunderful, the wine (Clos du Murger Meursault 2016) perfect and in right temperature. But it was too much for us so we couldn't take a dessert. Only coffee. The waiter was absolutly correct - more is not possible. And at the end the price was acceptable. I will come back. Thanks everyone of the team of La Belle Maraîchère for this wunderful evening.

3/10- very restrictive restaurant. If you are 2 and you want different types of offers, you are not allowed - one cannot take the fixed menu while the other has a la carte - food was disappointing - very salty and full of butter. I had to drink water all the time. Mediocre taste, but well presented. Clams were sandy. - had stomach problems the following day - the waiter treated clients very differently based on his personal preference, not a good mood, but the place itself looks nice

9.5/10This was one of the most satisfying dinners I have had in many years! The whole setting is not modern or trendy and the pace of service is slow, but everything we had was sooooooooo good that we are seriously considering another trip to Brussels just to repeat the experience. We had the vegatable soup and the white asparangus for starters and for main dish we had the whole lobster cooked the Flemish way. It was extremely tasteful and superbly prepared and presented. We strongly recommend the restaurant, but if you are interested you must make reservations as they do not accept walk ins.
