We have been to Pienza a few times, but this was our first time at La Buca di Enea. We were not disappointed. It was a lovely small trattoria with the most delicious food. Our waitress was friendly, courteous and just lovely. We will definitely return. We highly recommend.

Service not friendly and the food was very average. No gluten-free pasta available (unlike just about every other restaurant in Italy we’ve visited) which was a shame.

Good, but a bit expensive. They also charged us for a dish we actually didn't take (they wrote a dish instead of the one we actually took on the bill - and the one they charged us for was more expensive than the one we had chosen). Unfortunately, we've checked the bill when we were already on our way home, so there was no chance of doing something.

A great place to eat in Pienza! The service was brilliant, food delicious and well priced. Authentic Tuscan dishes, highly recommended

Loved it! Received excellent suggestions on the wine and which carpaccio to choose after we gave general guidance. Pasta with wild boar was an excellent first experience. High quality food and great service. Hard to beat that combo!

Food was good but too expensive for what you get. Well, Pienza is a very touristy town so this was to be expected. The restaurantis small and feels cramped. The noise level was very high and the music playing in the background didn’t help. Service needs a major improvement. We felt like a nuisance. Servers were rushed and absolutely unfriendly. When it came to the bill, I got up and wanted to pay at the counter like every italian did before us, but I was rudely told to go back to my table the server would come soon with the bill. Why the different treatment for tourist? Why not be nice about it.? After all I just did what everybody else did before me. Skip thus place. I am sure there are restaurants that really appreciate your business.

Excellent lunch! We enjoyed various hot crostini & a fondue of pecorino with a generous grating of fresh truffle. Delicious!
