10/10We were referred to Buca di Ripetta by our driver and it was a fantastic recommendation. The atmosphere, the attentive service, and most importantly the remarkably satisfying food quality and flavour were all absolutely outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant when in Rome and will most definitely return when we are next in town!!

8.5/10The bread was so so. Nothing special even tough it was homemade. The salad we order was also nothing great it was a simple salad but the mozarella cheese was a little dry. The pasta was really good .

10/10Great little restaurant just off the Tiber river. Service was great the moment we walked in. Each course was better than the next and at reasonable prices. The entire staff was great. We set upstairs but check out the basement dining area. Very cool, feels like you are in a 500 year old building. The homemade Tiramisu was the perfect cap to a great meal.

10/10I went to Buca di Ripetta on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. One of my favorite meals while in Rome! I had the pasta with the lamb ragu and it was otherwordly! My son had the lamb chops and roasted potatoes which he inhaled. Lovely little spot!

10/10We had the best family birthday lunch here. Our waiter was delightful. He had, although the did not know it , excellent “banter”. He is indeed Bantonio Bantderas. The food was exceptional (although maybe a little heavy on the chicory) , the wine excellent value and I discovered Amoro which was an eye opener. Thankyou for a special afternoon. x

4.5/10Head waiter was arrogant. He told us not to speak in Italian only in English. We are Italian Americans and we speak Italian and we do so in Italy out of respect for the country. We never have been so insulted by a waiter The eggplant parmigiana was the worst we had ever had in Italy or in NY where we live. Would not go back

10/10We first ate here 41 years ago, when under the management of the current owners parents and grandparents. It was special then and remains so now. Good food, cooked and presented impeccably, served with grace and warmth. As long as we are able to return to Rome this will feature in our itinerary. Treat yourselves and make a visit. You will not be disappointed.

10/10La Buca di Ripetta is my favorite restaurant in Rome, and one of my favorites in the world. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is fantastic, with creative new dishes along side classic Roman fare. The pear and ricotta ravioli is stunningly good (would be happy to receive this dish at any restaurant regardless of price), their artichoke three ways is fantastic, as is their saltimbocca and roasted pork, but we everything we've had here has been excellent. The wine list is also very strong.

2/10We came here on Christmas Eve and although the food was excellent, unfortunately they are thieves. We had ordered a bottle of wine that cost 32 euros and apparently it had ‘run out’… they offered us a similar bottle and then when the check came, the surprise of our lives: 70 euros the bottle. That and the fact that they offered us a bruschetta without saying the price and it was 25 euros - more than any other food on the menu. Honestly, we enjoyed the meal but now we feel completely scammed which is not very nice at Christmas. 100% do not recommend unless you double check every single thing you order beforehand and do not except any recommendations. This place ruined our Christmas in Rome.

10/10This restaurant is so good that I hesitate to give a public review. The quality of the food is superb, the wine list is excellent, and the atmosphere is intimate and friendly. It's a great place for a quiet night out near the shopping and street entertainment of Via del Corso. Now, please don't make it impossible to get a reservation!

10/10We visited twice over a 5 day period: once for lunch and another at dinnertime. Food is awesome..typical Roman cuisine and they will cater for intolerances (gluten in my case). The pasta was amazing; likewise pasta e ceci; the artichokes alla Giudia and the ravioli with orange sauce. Service was very good too and conversant in English too. The one thing I didn’t like was the fact that bread is an extra charge but I’ve noticed that this is becoming commonplace in Rome. We also had a glass of red Chianti each which was very nice. Super recommended!

8.5/10Buca di Ripetta has a cozy interior with bench seating. Pillow cushions have become thin with use and should be replaced. Food was mostly excellent. Our pasta dishes were tasty and delicious. Our orata filets weren’t. They were dried out and tasteless. Accompanying vegetables were fine. Service was top notch.

10/10Food was very tasty. The Fried zucchini flowers stuffed with creamy ricotta served with balsamic vinegar reduction for an appetizer was our favorite - delicious. Since there were 5 of us we had a number of pastas but the ravioli stuffed with ricotta & pears topped w/ an orange sauce & balsamic vinegar reduction and the Bucatini ’amatriciana were really good. The carmel cheesecake with frutti bosco was perfect dessert. Waiters were helpful but not overly friendly.

9/10We enjoyed the location, table, menu and service. Dinner was EXCELLENT. The only reason we would not return is because the background music was not pleasant. Too much rock n roll! Would have preferred more classical or a light jazz.

4.5/10Atmosphere and decor was very cute/cozy. The food was allright; nothing too special though. I was a but disappointed because the service was really poor. Our waiter was not very friendly. Also, there were lots of waiters working there, so a lot of the time they would just be standing around in the middle of the restaurant watching us.

10/10We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The manager took care of us, provided advice about the wine selection that resulted in an amazing Italian chardonnay, advice about the menu choices, and every dish was perfect. Highly recommended. Very highly recommended. We will return.

9.5/10The restaurant is super, all the food was fantastic, also the wines were perfect. I had 2 problems, one of the waiters didn't know what kind of fish they offer, and if I mentioned that it was another on the menu, his answer was no, I asked for the menu and shows him, he called our waiter (who was absolute kind and good) and he answered, yes I am right, that is this fish, And the worst was, he didn't tell a sorry for me. The other was, they forgot to give the 20 % for, what was offered the reservation. But again food was perfect.

10/10I recently dined at La Buca di Ripetta and was pleasantly surprised by the availability of outdoor seating on a sunny December day. The bean-pasta soup and vegetable soup (which was blended, as requested) were both tasty, and the carcofi alla judia was fresh and crunchy. The service was friendly and made for a delightful lunch experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its sunny outdoor seating and the delicious dishes.

4/10The food was very disappointing. Truffle pasta with virtually no flavor and very few truffles, Cacio Pepe with no pepper or flavor and poor tiramisu. The service was also terribly slow. I’m not sure how this restaurant got so many good reviews.

10/10My husband and friends and I were very pleased with our meal at La Bucca di Ripetta tonight. The food was delicious and then service was impeccable. The restaurant was recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide to Rome and I have learned to trust the recommendations there. I really liked the look of the place, authentic trattoria, and when we left the restaurant was full, which is always a good sign.,
