10/10We were looking for a quick dinner before getting Eurotunnel, but what an absolute gem we found here. We couldn't believe such a beautiful authentically French restaurant would be situated right by the Centre Commercial shopping centre in the middle of Calais (which is handy, as parking was free for 90mins!). This review will sound a little gushing, but having had to regretfully settle for McDonalds in the past due, to opening hours and the time of our crossings, we were just delighted to find this restaurant. The whole place excludes old world charm, as did Madame Patron and our her staff. The food was stunning and the bill very reasonable. It was an amazing way to finish our trip and an unexpected pleasure to find a place like this. Food was available from 5:30pm, although I think the usual opening time is 6pm - which is earlier than most proper restaurants . This meant we could have a lovely meal before getting our 8:15pm crossing. Thank you for an amazing experience.

10/10This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. We have now visited it twice this year. We would thoroughly recommend it to others for a truly French experience … great food and service with a traditional atmosphere.

10/10Typically French with a big F. Nothing had changed from previous visits, nothing needs to. Everything remains perfect from the decor, the wonderful table settings and the attentive, polite, friendly helpful staff. It made our trip fantastic .

This jewel of a restaurant made our trip to Calais. Four of us had a fantastic four course lunch. Service was excellent and our host was attentive and helpful throughout. A first class dining experience and we cannot wait to return

Very nice classic restaurant with wide variety of choices on the menu. Excellent service and very tasty dishes. Nice opportunity to also take demi bottles as we stopped here for a nice lunch on our full day trip.

Bonjour mr , Merci pour ce commentaire négatif concernant notre restaurant mais cela faisait longtemps que nous n’avions pas reçu de clients aussi désagréables , ne trouvant rien de bon de l entrée au dessert ce qui est incroyable! Nous pensions à vous offrir le dîner mais à quoi bon , se faire plaisir! Si nous avions beaucoup de clients comme vous ( ce qui est très rare juste pour que vous le sachiez ) nous ne continuerions plus ce beau métier qui nous passionne depuis toute ces années. De temps en temps il faut malheureusement dire la vérité Merci Cordialement Caroline et son équipe qui vous remercient

+2Superb lunch. Warm welcome and everything was delightful. We had crab and soup poissons for starters and confit of duck cooked like a croquettes and chips and Rick had monkfish and rice, bith completely delicious. Dessert was pistachio and raspberry cheesecake and apple frangipane and calvados, fabulous. We had an excellent red Sancerre. All excellent value and a perfect slow speed to relish the food. I have to say, gaving been to Calais for the first time today, there is nothing to interest us to return, except this lovely restaurant.

10/10Chose to our accomodation, we booked for 7 pm. Not surprisingly we were the first customers and benefitted from the undivided attention of the owner and maitre d' hotel. The atmospheres of the place was enhanced by an authentic Belle Epoque decor..The various tasting menus were all excellent and the wine recommandation perfect. An absolutely enjoyable experience

10/10My wife, son and I were treated to a gastronomic treat. Our French is minimal, however, every course was both clearly explained to us, and delicious. It was no more and no less than a splendid french culinary experience, that we will always talk about in warm terms as our best meal of the trip.

10/10This was a great experience. The food was sublime!! The service up to a high standard. I was alone and I saw that they had one of my favorite wines. I ordered a bottle and was able to take the rest home with me. Very nice!

10/10Found this restaurant on Trip advisor with lots lo good feedback so booked a meal to be part of our day trip to Calais. What a find! Lovely food and really friendly staff. Happy to help us with our struggle to pick from the French menu, served at a perfect pace and excellence delivered. We will return.

2/10Very rude people. They don't speak English, only French. They tried to scam us and cancelled our reservation after we had left so that we couldn't get the Yums. Had to contact the customer service and show proof of payment. Very unprofessional.

10/10This is my number one place to eat in Calais. Classic old school French restaurant with an excellent kitchen. The menu, ambiance and wine list all contribute to a wonderful experience. Good range of single malts too.

+2For the weekend, we drove via the Eurotunnel to Calais to eat French food in France. We chose La Buissonière for 2 of 3 meals out because it was rated #1 out of the 119 restaurants in Calais. We were delighted with the restaurant's French charm, the attention given to us by the owner Caroline (who was waiting for our arrival at the door!) and the fabulous food delivered so graciously. I don't think we've ever enjoyed a meal as much! It was relaxing, delicious and we felt so welcome and tended to. Can't wait to go back!

We try to go to traditional French Food and ambience. Food was not very remarkable and taste of most dishes fairly bland. We were disappointed
