4/10The presentation could have been improved—a small portion of fries and a fried steak wedge didn’t quite meet expectations, especially at €25. Unfortunately, the overall experience was underwhelming, and it took nearly 20 minutes to receive the bill after the meal. Regrettably, I wouldn’t choose to return.

10/10We had been on a family vacation in Tuscany, and decided to eat at this restaurant in Florence before we all parted ways. it was on the recommendation of a friend who had been there in early May. They were 10 of us which can be a little bit chaotic. Our server was phenomenal. I wish I had gotten her name . Her English was excellent and her recommendations were spot on. I’ve been in Europe many times and eaten in many great restaurants. This restaurant has to be one of the best that I’ve been to anywhere in Europe. Everything that anyone had was superb . the risotto special for the night was to die for. I was having temporary mobility issues and going downstairs to the Ladies room was going to be a challenge. Our server noticed me heading that way and hesitating, and she directed me out toward a separate restroom near the front of the restaurant. The prices were more than fair for the quality of our meals.

Still the best pizza. I last visited Florence almost 20 years ago and used to always have pizza at La Bussola, because the pizza toppings are delicious and the base is perfect and very slightly crisp underneath. I was so happy to eat here again. The waiters were friendly and attentive as before. I look forward to my next visit.

+2Excellent! Our best meal in Florence. Francesca was so kind and friendly accommodating us last minute. Our waiter, Umberto, recommended the perfect wine, pizza, pastas & apps. Everything was delicious! Make sure to visit La Busola, a family run restaurant!

6.5/10The back room near the kitchen where we were seated was noticeably less attractive than the front room, but I can’t really complain about that as we made our reservation only about three hours earlier. Service was reasonably prompt but not very welcoming. My husband loved his orders of mussels and fish soup. My beans and pasta were OK. Florentine cuisine seems to have become overly focused on the famous bistecca fiorentina and not just at this restaurant. If you like beef, especially huge rare T-bones, you’ll be happy. Otherwise your choices will be limited.

Experience was faultless from start to finish. Chose venue to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Staff so informative and helpful. Can't recommend restaurant highly enough.
