Very special restaurant. Service was friendly and professional and the restaurant is comfortable with well controlled sound levels so is not uncomfortable for noise levels a nice change from many. The food is simple presentation of high quality fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. The choice is enough but not long and it is exclusively fish something to be aware of. I had a view of the kitchen where the team worked well ensemble and did not seem stressed. My only complaint was service felt just a little bit rushed hence 4 and not 5 stars. We will return as this is a real find and also a rare treat in a market so overcrowded with often mediocre offerings.

Fresh seafood and the razor clams are amazing. We also enjoyed the mini clams as their included starter appetizer.. Servers are very attentive in explaining the menu board. Food is not salty with minimal sauce, so you can taste the freshness of the seafood.

Excellent restaurant , I just happened to stumble by chance . I was by myself, they gave me a nice table. Everything from the starter , appetizer , main course to dessert , if you are into seafood and open to trying different types of sea food this is your place . Service was friendly , good suggestions , impleccable

Seafood was served fresh with delicious marination. Service was impeccable as the waiter went the extra mile to explain the menu for the day, given that we were tourists and non-French speaking. Will definitely head back to La Cagouille when my husband and I are back in Paris!

We had a lovely evening at the restaurant with pleasant and helpful staff, a great ambience and good food ( perhaps a little under-seasoned for our taste).The wine list was extensive and our less pricey choice proved delicious.

While we had been told that Montparnasse was full of cosy mediterranean restaurants, this was not an example of it. Good food, but almost no vegetables. Nothing wrong with the food but the restaurant is in a corner of a square, almost hidden. We had reserved a table and had to sit in a corner of the covered terrace, there were only 5 other tables occupied so they could have offered a nicer place to sit. The food was served very quickly after each other, we almost didn't have time to drink between the dishes. Not cosy. Our plates were gone and 1 sec. after they already placed the dessert menu on the table. Much too quick and not friendly.

Great place with very good service. The one missing point is because it is very difficult (like everywhere in France) if you are not speaking French to receive enough information. Anyway, strongly recommend the restaurant.
