Chef was amazing. Great food great personalities service was incredible. Wild boar was a family recipe. That was incredible! We were traveling from the US and that was the best dish we have ever tried!

Great location. Great service, although a bit too friendly, we tried to order one starter and we got (and paid) three because he brought what he wanted to bring… but good quality

Nice secluded location in the middle of the hills of Tuscany. Family cooking, quiet relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious.

Pleasant space for our party of 5 during a rainstorm. Having a car seemed essential. The waitress was lovely & spoke some English to help us along with our simple Italian. Great variety of locally produced wines from multiple vineyards/agriturismos was appreciated. My personal favorite item on the menu was the Limone sorbet (which was served in a frozen lemon) Super delicious & naturally flavored. LOVED it!

We had a very memorable and delicious dinner. Antonio made our first night in Italy so special and very accommodating for vegetarian and gluten free restrictions for our group of 10 We would highly recommend and go back

My friend and I had the most amazing experience dining at this restaurant! It’s our first time visiting the area and we definitely made the best decision to eat here because food was amazing, we had pastas, mushrooms and beef tartare with truffles. The owner Antonio was super friendly and generous, we had a fun conversation and he gifted us drinks to taste and little gifts to take home, he even helped us arrange a last minute local wine tasting at Villa Il Pozzo which was also a wonderful experience!

we asked the chief to surprise us for the food and wine and he did it. all perfect, food, drink, even we had the visit of some fireflies around the table. thanks for the great time and great food

An amazing find, everything organic and local. Great recommendations from the owner, and catered to our family. Been traveling for the last month, from fish and chips to Michelin stars….. this was the highlight meal.

We enjoyed the warm hospitality here a lot, really a gem in Tuscany, peaceful place where you can hear the birds sing. Amazing food and beauty wines. We asked recommendations for a cheese shop afterwards and we received a wonderful tip. Must go for delicious food and hospitality!

The food was amazing and delicious and the service was great. The pasta was home made and very nice. The meat was also wonderful. The owner was wonderful explaining the menu and providing great service.

The place was off the beaten path by a lake but the quality of the food surprised us! We were a family of 14 and Antonio introduced and suggested Antipasto and main meal for us. Everything was delicious, not typical American Italian menu we find in more touristy places in big cities, but real authentic italian food. Service was good as well. The heat and the bugs were a little bit of a problem, but what can you do when there is a heat wave in Tuscany! :) Grazie!

Amazing restaurant, the host and all staff were exceptionally friendly and took the time to explain about the menu and how the food was sourced ( in exceptionally good English) . He helped us choose a perfect lunch , not too much but just right, everything was exceptional, my son described his pasta as the "best ever", no small compliment.. I can't recommend enough, just go, I know we will be going back

Rustic atmosphere, excellent, straightforward and plentiful Tuscan food. Best sorbetto ever. Attentive service. Highly recommend. Would happily go again.

Amazing Restaurant! A little off the beaten path, but the quality of the food was superb. The menu had several of the typical Tuscan dishes but there were many other special, delicious treats. There wasn’t a dish that we had that we did not thoroughly enjoy! For starters we had a fantastic vegetable torta, with a truffle sauce that was amazing and a selection of meats, cheeses & crostini that were fresh & tasty. For lunch we enjoyed roasted pork ribs, pici with ragu & gnocchi in a light truffle sauce. Everything was of the highest quality & taste. Our host was able to guide us through an interesting and extensive collection of local wines, with suggestions that paired beautifully with our dishes. The staff was friendly & the service impeccable. Do not miss this fantastic restaurant!

When we arrived on the parking, the property made a quite messy impression. The table itself was well located and nicely decorated. We were offered an aperitif on the house. The chef presented the menu and made us some good wine recommendations. The food was delicious, I loved the Fiori Di Zucca Fritti and the fresh pasta with truffle. The recommended white wine was excellent. Overall a great value for money at La Capannina sul Lago!

We were immediately greeted in a most friendly welcoming manner by the host as we walked in despite making late reservations for a large party. The food was outstanding and the service was most attentive. His recommendations for meals were perfect and his Chianti was the best we’ve had!

We were received with a glass of prosecco which was so pleasant and surprising. Unfortunately we did not taste any wine because we had been wine tasting all day! The food and service were excellent! Would highly recommend!

This restaurant is really amazing! What a fine, fresh and well prepared food. You never get that full feeling, you just want to taste everything of that fantastic authentic Italian food. The very friendly owner together with this great Italian setting maken this restaurant just heaven on earth.

Very nice restaurant, nice stuff. The card is in Italian but the owner explain it in English and recommended us our menu. The beef was very nice. Also the antipasti with the fantastic cheese. We enjoyed it.

An incredible place, with remarkable hospitality. We enjoyed everything, especially the artichoke Tortello, and the steaks were made to perfection. All the dishes came from fresh and local ingredients, which greatly improved the whole "Tuscan experience" for us. The host was great, very knowledgeable and kind. FYI - the restaurant is overlooking a beautiful lake.
