8/10The food was absolutely delicious and I appreciated that it was all cooked to order. Sadly my husband received his vegetables after he’d finished his meat! I had the tagliata di Manzo a local dish, delicious. Then a tiramisu to die for.

8.5/10Very small, casual, meat-oriented place. Like eating at a friend's house. The waiter has a sense of humor and seems to be intentionally surly in an effort to add to the atmosphere. The food was good.

10/10It was so delicious that we had the same exact meal two nights in a row! Perfect hole-in-the-wall family restaurant. Steak Florentine! The service was impeccable and they were very friendly. The price of the meal was 40% less than the popular areas and tastier.

6/10We had a group of 6 and had a reservation. We ordered appetizers and secondi all together. First entree came out rather quickly, but the last one did not arrive for another 45 minutes! In the USA, this would warrant a total complimentary meal for all. In Italy, not even a verbal apology. By the way, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Too bad the delays spoiled an otherwise good meal.

9/10On the outside, this looks like a dump of a pizzeria. I booked online largely based on the fact this was the closest eating place to my hotel. When I walked up, I nearly turned around to leave. With stitches in my mouth, pizza was not an option. But they had some traditional Tuscan dishes so I decided to stay. In the back of the trattoria is a very pleasant patio. I had pappa al pomodoro followed by pasta with cinghiale sauce and a very decent half-bottle of Banfi Vermentino. The rest of the food leaving the kitchen looked pretty good as well. The total cost of my meal was 37 euros. By the fall, the owner will have finished renovating the original restaurant space into a gastronomia and pizza takeout place. That makes sense because that area of Florence is full of locals and probably B&Bs and Airbnbs.

5/10We were hopeful that this small, off the beaten path restaurant would deliver a positive experience, but unfortunately this meal missed on nearly all aspects. The ambiance was almost non existent, with no music during most of the meal. The antipasto was delicious but everything that came after that was mediocre, at best. On top of that, our waiter disappeared halfway through the meal and our check had to be closed out by another server. I would look elsewhere in Florence for a meal.

9.5/10The restaurant had been recommended by our host, and when meeting with Antonio, the owner, we understood how serious the art of cooking traditional regional food could be: it is an hidden gem while unexposed and not pretentious. For serious relaxed romantic food aficionados. Gorgeous!

6/10The food was exceptional but the service was unbelievably slow. It was such a shame. We were seated outside and only realised as we walked out that the main restaurant was packed. With Italians. Again it was such a shame. I felt very sorry for the one waitress.

7.5/10There are thre eating areas in this little restaurant, which specialises in open wood fired cooking. We arrived and were put into the “cooking” room and were initially on our own, which was rather bleak. When others arrived the atmosphere improved. The food is copious and well cooked; the dish to go for is the steak option. We ordered two mains, which was far too much. A nice little restaurant with friendly staff and very pleasing food.
