We read about this restaurant and it turned out that it was only 1/2 a block away from where we were staying so off we went. The food, ambiance and staff were exactly what we were looking for. Great food, great staff.

Slices beef was perfectly cooled and seasoned. Dark chocolate hemisphere for dessert was a standout.

the steak is tooooooo big we order 1kg it's okay if it's more than that, but they gave us 1.33kg for two girls

Very nice and absolutely delicious. You can always feel the passion in the food.

Perhaps one of the best meals we have ever had. The golden bread appetizer with the fried egg yoke was sublime and our main courses, Chianina fillet and wild boar stew were outstanding! The service was attentive and very friendly. Next time we visit Florence, we will definitely return to La Carbonata.

Great food and service! Everything was delicious! We had the chicken salad, pesto gnocchi and the amazing Florentine Chianina!

Long wait for food, but very worth it!

Food presentation was really good. Delivery of food was very very slow, our legs went to sleep sitting so long. Food was very salty and lacked the flavor of other restaurants in the area.

Cosy restaurant with a focus on steak but plenty of other choices. Good salad starter and the golden bread with Parmesan and Parma starter was great. We had the burgers which were very good. Clearly homemade and well presented with good fries. Wine by the glass was good.

Kind of an out of the way restaurant with not a lot of seating, but the food was incredible, the service excellent, and we made new friends with the people at the table next to us. We spent 3 and 1/2 hours eating and talking and then sipping limoncello. Best night we’ve had in Florence! We were very well taken care of and I already want to return!

Delicious food and excellent service: We ordered the steak, pesto gnocchi, stuffed ravioli, and the trio dessert with a cappuccino. The staff is great and this restaurant is a gem. Highly recommended!

We were enjoying our last night in Florence and decided on dinner at La Carbonata. The owner was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. The food is excellent and the space is cozy. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I didn’t realize the restaurant closed at 10 PM when I made a reservation at 9:45 PM, but they still welcomed us warmly. Before our visit, I asked about their cake policy for my mother’s birthday, and they quickly replied that they just needed an HACCP-certified bakery receipt. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxing vibe. The food was amazing—highly recommend the slow-cooked pork and the pasta with artichokes. The fillet steak and chicken breast had great charcoal-grilled flavors, and the appetizer combo (€16) was delicious, especially the beef tartare and onion-topped options. Even though we arrived late, the staff provided excellent service and never rushed us. The manager made sure the kitchen kept things moving smoothly, showing great care. Since we didn’t bring the birthday cake, they surprised us by putting a candle on our dessert and singing a birthday song, which was so thoughtful and made the night special.

Cute venue with a small seating area up front and a larger in back. Small but serviceable bar area up front. Food quality was great, and especially loved the duck ragout pasta. Busier Cavour street lead to some quaint people watching. Overall very good and worth a visit.
