Kind of an out of the way restaurant with not a lot of seating, but the food was incredible, the service excellent, and we made new friends with the people at the table next to us. We spent 3 and 1/2 hours eating and talking and then sipping limoncello. Best night we’ve had in Florence! We were very well taken care of and I already want to return!

10/10Delicious food and excellent service: We ordered the steak, pesto gnocchi, stuffed ravioli, and the trio dessert with a cappuccino. The staff is great and this restaurant is a gem. Highly recommended!

10/10We were enjoying our last night in Florence and decided on dinner at La Carbonata. The owner was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. The food is excellent and the space is cozy. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I didn’t realize the restaurant closed at 10 PM when I made a reservation at 9:45 PM, but they still welcomed us warmly. Before our visit, I asked about their cake policy for my mother’s birthday, and they quickly replied that they just needed an HACCP-certified bakery receipt. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxing vibe. The food was amazing—highly recommend the slow-cooked pork and the pasta with artichokes. The fillet steak and chicken breast had great charcoal-grilled flavors, and the appetizer combo (€16) was delicious, especially the beef tartare and onion-topped options. Even though we arrived late, the staff provided excellent service and never rushed us. The manager made sure the kitchen kept things moving smoothly, showing great care. Since we didn’t bring the birthday cake, they surprised us by putting a candle on our dessert and singing a birthday song, which was so thoughtful and made the night special.

9.5/10Cute venue with a small seating area up front and a larger in back. Small but serviceable bar area up front. Food quality was great, and especially loved the duck ragout pasta. Busier Cavour street lead to some quaint people watching. Overall very good and worth a visit.

very good service and recommendations on the prima dish and wines. we wanted to share our meal, as we are two ladies but wanted the fillet steak. They were very accommodating and plated up individual prima plates for us.

Food was great. We had steak, grilled veggies, roasted potatoes and zucchini flowers. Service was extremely prompt and friendly. Table was tiny, and we could have used more room. The chatter on the walkie talkie between the kitchen and the dining room was a little loud and annoying.

10/10This place offers great traditional Italian food. The gnocchi is incredible, and the meat dishes are fantastic. Great service by the mister! Overall, a wonderful dining experience that truly captures the essence of Italian cuisine. Highly recommended!

10/10The first evening in Florence was immediately unforgettable. We had such an amazing meal here! The local steak paired with a wine from Chianti—nothing could have been better. The waiter was very friendly and even had a limoncello with us. Since it was our first evening, we're a bit disappointed because no other restaurant will be able to meet this standard! ;) You definitely have to go here.

7.5/10We picked the place because of a 4.9 rating. Service was very friendly but the food was average, even disappointing and definitely not 4.9. The tomato from the calabrese was disappointing both in taste and preparation (left all the green center). The ragout was overcooked. Had it said 4.2 I would have concurred. 4.9 is misleading.

bonjour monsieur, hier pendant le dîner je suis allé m'assurer que tout allait bien pendant votre dîner et votre réponse n'était que des compliments et les assiettes vides débarrassées parlaient... Je ne comprends pas cette critique en Italie le ragù doit cuisiner pendant un longue durée. la critique est acceptée mais il vaudrait mieux la faire immédiatement pendant le déjeuner ou le dîner, au revoir
