La Cecchina is in a nice piazza. Indoor and covered outdoor seating. Beautiful stone decor inside. Our service was wonderful, kind and patiently helpful describing their food and wine. Had Bresaola with orecchiette and ragù. Fabulous. My wife had Bresaola with ragù. Recommend reservation.

The orecchiette alle cime di rapa were veey good and up to high expectations. Portions are generous The tagliata (steak) was less than ok, quite tasteless Service was ok-ish but failed to convey the feeling to be truly welcome and being walked through the specialities of the house - which you expect in a restaurant in the heart of Apulia

Cosseted by the servers. Wowed by the chef (such fresh red snapper!) Tad pricey but still fantastic value for the €

The food was good when it finally arrived. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the menu. But it took almost one hour from the moment we ordered for the food to arrive.

The food was outstanding, service was a little hectic since they were extremely busy but the staff was still amazing. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food and service we’re great. They overbooked their reservations though, and our table was near the entrance where everyone was congregating to complain. Distracted from enjoying the evening.

Excellent experience with table at front looking at plaza. Excellent food and service. One of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. Very highly recommend La Cecchina in Bari, Italy!

The service was absolutely terrible, we almost walked out multiple times, but man the food was so good

The food was good, the grilled octopus was amazing, the fried calamari was mediocre, but the lady who looks like she owns the place, she was pretty weird. She was making people rush to order, making gestures in front of them, she was tense in general. The only highlight of the night was the grilled octopus, but I won’t come back.

We enjoyed the focaccia that was brought to our table when we sat down. The orchietta was delicious . We enjoyed our cheese and meat platter as an appetizer. Lovely atmosphere.

Nice setting and ambience overall, but the restaurant seemed to be lacking organisation. Nobody seemed to be looking after a section/ tables of their own. Didn’t have one of our first choice mains, but the replacements were fine.

Forgot our olive order order, and then over charged us for wine. But staff pleasant. Food was meh, a bit greasy. Location is cool.

A busy night, we were asked to come back in 15 minutes as they weren’t ready at their opening time. We were seated in the back and while waiting for our food, a Street vendor approached us and wanted money for a bracelet. We were trapped and gave him $2 to leave us alone. Why was this allowed in a nice restaurant? The food was good, as was the wine.

The food was absolutely amazing! There was a mix up on our pasta dishes but they immediately remedied the situation. The zucchini starter with stratciatelli cheese was my favorite antipasto ever.

I had booked a table at least a couple of weeks in advance but when we arrived, we were given a table at the back of the restaurant. It was obvious that no one had checked the bookings for the evening. It was only when I asserted myself, were we given a better table . I suspect that all of the best tables were given to walk in diners which isn’t great when I had taken the time and effort to research the restaurant and give them the courtesy of making a reservation. I appreciate that the restaurant was busy but in addition to this, the welcome was underwhelming to say the least. Sadly, there was no apology for the oversight and this clouded the remainder of the evening.

Overall the restaurant is nice and the food is good. There is a problem with the service. You wait for 50 minutes or more to get your food. The waiters are chaotic, food comes out of the kitchen without any order. It is totally unprofessional to serve only to one person on the table.

Lovely place out of the direct sun for a lunch today. All was good - certainly as regards food and service - both excellent. There was some interference with the restaurant staff on a phone call without using headphones and the speaker through the phone was rather loud and disruptive - much more than the two women on our end. It was for five or so minutes so bearable ;)

When we first arrived at the restaurant for our 7.30 reservation the staff weren’t ready to open so we went elsewhere for a drink. Once we returned the restaurant filled quickly and the food was superb. Our waiter, Davide, deserves a special mention as his service and advice on local wine was exceptional.

The food was great, as was the ambiance. We had a wide variety of food in my family of 4: fish, horse meat pasta and a few others. Would definitely go back and eat here again.
