7.5/10The cuisine is generally good, with visually appealing presentation. Meat dishes stand out in particular and are clearly better than the rest of the menu. The waiter made an effort to be attentive and friendly, which left a positive impression of the service. That said, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant could be improved. The benches along the walls are not very comfortable, it gets quite noisy when the restaurant is about half full, and the space feels a bit cold. There is a large fireplace in the center of the dining room, but unfortunately it is not in use — it could have been a truly magical addition, providing warmth and soft light. Overall rating: 7.5 out of 10.

First meal ever in France for family of 4, every dish was spectacular! I put a ton of effort into planning and chose this restaurant out of a million options. It was perfect! Would recommend this place to anyone.

9.5/10Cosy restaurant offering a range of fine and delicious Italian-style dishes. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and flavor of the food, don’t be intimidated by the restaurant’s name, it’s definitely affordable. The chef is very friendly and personally takes care of his guests. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this place is well worth a visit.

We went for lunch and for the first half an hour we were the only people there so it was lovely and quiet. The waiter was friendly and attentive and spoke good English. The menu is available in several languages via a QR code. The foie gras was absolutely delicious and we both enjoyed our chicken Cordon Bleu. Portions are very generous and the prices are reasonable. It was well worth the 20 minute walk from the station.

9.5/10Everything tasted really good. Hard to impress my Mom and wife and both really enjoyed their dishes. Beef, duck, salmon were all excellent. Spatzle and potatoes were just normal. Sauces were pretty good. Escargot and crème brûlée also were excellent.

9.5/10What a great meal we enjoyed. We ordered chicken curry and chicken tikka masala with naan bread, which we have ordered all over the world as we travel and it was one of the best we have had. It is a casual environment and we sat outside on the busy side street. The service was outstanding and we would recommend this place if you enjoy good Indian food!

10/10La Chaumière is definitely a hidden gem in Strasbourg. Having been living in Strasbourg for four years , and having walked past in front of this restaurant a few times, I would be curious to about it , but that was it. Started using the Fork app and went for the first time and I was surprised with the food quality! The stake quality is the best I ever had in Strasbourg. Food tasted delicious and homemade. The wine was such a treat! The Ambience is lovely. The fireplace/grill gives the impression you’re someone’s house as a welcomed guest. The restaurant is cosy and very upbeat with lovely, young and very friendly staff who make you feel very welcomed. I will definitely come back and I do recommend it if you want to treat yourself either a nice French food and quality stake.

10/10We had a wonderful meal at La Chaumière, a small and cozy neighborhood restaurant. All of the food was delicious! The log fire added to the charming ambiance, and the grilled meat was cooked to perfection over the fire! The service was very professional and punctual, and we were also very happy with the discount we received for booking through The Fork. Thank you to the staff at this fabulous restaurant! We will certainly be back soon!
