9.5/10Cosy restaurant offering a range of fine and delicious Italian-style dishes. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and flavor of the food, don’t be intimidated by the restaurant’s name, it’s definitely affordable. The chef is very friendly and personally takes care of his guests. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this place is well worth a visit.

We went for lunch and for the first half an hour we were the only people there so it was lovely and quiet. The waiter was friendly and attentive and spoke good English. The menu is available in several languages via a QR code. The foie gras was absolutely delicious and we both enjoyed our chicken Cordon Bleu. Portions are very generous and the prices are reasonable. It was well worth the 20 minute walk from the station.

9.5/10Everything tasted really good. Hard to impress my Mom and wife and both really enjoyed their dishes. Beef, duck, salmon were all excellent. Spatzle and potatoes were just normal. Sauces were pretty good. Escargot and crème brûlée also were excellent.

9.5/10What a great meal we enjoyed. We ordered chicken curry and chicken tikka masala with naan bread, which we have ordered all over the world as we travel and it was one of the best we have had. It is a casual environment and we sat outside on the busy side street. The service was outstanding and we would recommend this place if you enjoy good Indian food!

10/10La Chaumière is definitely a hidden gem in Strasbourg. Having been living in Strasbourg for four years , and having walked past in front of this restaurant a few times, I would be curious to about it , but that was it. Started using the Fork app and went for the first time and I was surprised with the food quality! The stake quality is the best I ever had in Strasbourg. Food tasted delicious and homemade. The wine was such a treat! The Ambience is lovely. The fireplace/grill gives the impression you’re someone’s house as a welcomed guest. The restaurant is cosy and very upbeat with lovely, young and very friendly staff who make you feel very welcomed. I will definitely come back and I do recommend it if you want to treat yourself either a nice French food and quality stake.

10/10We had a wonderful meal at La Chaumière, a small and cozy neighborhood restaurant. All of the food was delicious! The log fire added to the charming ambiance, and the grilled meat was cooked to perfection over the fire! The service was very professional and punctual, and we were also very happy with the discount we received for booking through The Fork. Thank you to the staff at this fabulous restaurant! We will certainly be back soon!

3/10Our meal was the worst meal I’ve had in a week in France. We were literally the only people at the restaurant the entire time we were there. And I can understand why. We decided to share four appetizers. The gambas shrimp were undercooked, the avocado served with it was brown. The arroncia they should have left for the Italians. The interior was tasteless and insipid. The charcuterie board had only one meat on it, a pat and a half of butter and stale bread. We ordered a serving of ratatouille which was far from fitting its definition of a vegetable stew of bell peppers, squash, eggplant and tomatoes. This was just sautéed squash and onions- not even close to a stew. I’m relieved we didn’t order a main. I do not recommend this restaurant and we felt sorry for our little waitress who had to work there. We went because of the 9.1 rating on both the Fork and Trip Advisor. Perhaps something has happened to the chef who earned those ratings. Surely that chef did not provide this awful food.

Personnellement je prend pas trop le temps de répondre à ce genre de commentaire mais vu que vous avez pris toute une journée pour rédiger un commentaire je me permets de faire l’effort. Alors déjà quand on vient à 19h pour partir avant 20h c’est sure qu’on peut être seul dans le restaurant (une quinzaine de personnes sont arrivés juste après vous…) Pour le repas soit je peux comprendre que certains de nos plats étaient pas à vos goût mais bon delà à en abuser alors que vous dites à la charmante serveuse que tout s’est très bien passé… je ne sais quoi répondre à part d’arrêter de manger des Burgers et de vous intéressez davantage à la cuisine maison française. Pour le pain il vient du pain de mon grand père sûrement l’un des meilleurs boulangers représentant notre région donc rassis… j’en rie encore !!! N’essayez pas un restaurant étoilé ça sera pire vous risquez l’arrêt cardiaque!

10/10A small, authentic French restaurant where local people seem to enjoy coming to eat. So absolutely right choice if you don’t want to visit a tourist restaurant! We ordered the duck and beef steak for main. and they are grilled right on the wood-burning oven that is in the middle of the room. Fanatical! Very friendly service. We had a really nice evening. Thank you very much.
