10/10Most restaurants in Italy have very similar menus, varying slightly by region. La Chiusa is not at all like that. The chief has been there for less than a year and has been given license to be creative. We had an amazing meal! An example of the passion put into the preparation was the desert which paired white chocolate with olive oil. Absolutely incredible!

9/10The service was excellent. Lauren did the best of everything in terms of service. The ambience is exceptional. The menu should include some traditional offerings. Sliced steak, pasta with standard ragu sauce. The trend in restaurants today is to prepare meals in an over the top sort of way (too complicated) more about architectural presentation than a more traditional (italian home cooking) style.

9/10Beautiful terrace, a bit dated interior. The food is of great quality and unlike in many local restaurant a lot of attention goes into the presentation. Good price quality ratio.

9.5/10A restaurant and hotel. The chef puts his own unique twist on traditional Tuscan dishes. Amazing views, great ambience. They also offer cooking courses.

10/10Located in the small village of Montifollonico, this is truly a hidden gem that you must not miss if you are anywhere in the Val d'Orcia area. This is our sixth trip to the Tuscany and Umbrian areas, and this was truly your best dining experience ever. We plan to be back during this extended stay, and plan to return to stay in the hotel facility as well. Dave met us when we arrived and gave is a delightful tour of the entire facility. Our waitress, Elene, did an amazing job, and the chef and kitchen staff prepared food fit for a king. Highly recommend!!!

10/10Hidden in plain sight is one of southern Tuscany's best restaurants! Easy and elegant, refined and rustic, La Chiusa is absolutely superb in every way.

10/10The food was excellent, we had a perfect leisurely lunch in a beautiful setting. We will definitely being going back soon.
