I asked beforehand to notice that one member of our company had birthday and we are celebrating that. The service was disappointing and there was no special attention although the restaurant promised to take care of that at booking. Food didn't taste that good and the portions were ridiculously small. Venue was beautiful but lacked music and good vibe.

Exquisite lunch on New Year’s Day. Excellent quality; creative menu; delicious wine. Very attentive and helpful staff. Beautiful setting with stunning views over Citta Alta. Would definitely return in summer to enjoy the picturesque garden.

This is obviously decent food by anyone's standards. But I mostly found it a bit disappointing. The experience was stuffy - very very quiet atmosphere sat outside with faintly naff, very obvious jazz music in the background. Food I thought was overpriced for the quality / level of creativity. We had had better pasta dishes in alta for a third of the price (to be fair pasta often doesn't translate well to fancier places, but they put it on the menu so I think it's fair game!) Generally a bit of a boring vibe, not much fun. On the other hand I thought the sommelier was very good, relaxed and not pretentious in the way she did things, and the wine was excellent and reasonably priced. The other thing (and I promise the criticism above is genuine reflection rather than proxy for this): despite my telling them twice in advance that the meal was to mark a birthday, there was zero recognition. It felt tacky not to greet us with an acknowledgment that it was someone's birthday, when they'd been given the opportunity.

Very romantic restaurant at the top of Bergamo. Attentive service and excellent food - we really enjoyed our time there, especially the desert was very creative and delicious.
