8/10When we first went in the staff didn’t seem to be interested. But once we ordered an expensive bottle of wine their attitude changed. My husband and I ordered the sliced steak because we are not big eaters. It tasted fine, but was too tough to eat. It has a fabulous location but I wouldn’t eat there again. We are accustomed to fine dining and this did not measure up.

From the moment we walked in, they completely took our breath away. Knowledge, warmth, attention to detail was superb. Our waiter was Rafael and he was amazing. It was my partners birthday and they made it very special for him, singing happy birthday. Thank you guys. The food was stunning, we had the Florentine steak, potatoes, salad which was delightful. Knowledge of wine and the support in choosing was second to none. The best experience we had in Florence xx

7.5/10The Florentine steak I ordered was way undercooked. I asked for medium rare and it was served rare, with some parts of the steak still cold. The steak was also far more expensive than expected...it cost 175 Euros.

5.5/10The food was nice! The view was nice, other than scaffolding on the cathedral. The seating was cramped. We are from the Uk, but were spoken to in Spanish. The service was not great. Server 1: After enquiring about prices the server reluctantly told us the steak price (which was way too big for 2 people and evidently he was trying to over sell) we said it was too much and he stopped serving us, handed us to an underling and threw the menus in the basket. Server 2 was okay; however he offered us what seemed to be lemoncella as a gratuity, and then charged us! Views were good; however drain smells were apparent and road cleaning machine was very close to where we were seated. Overall, I was expecting a lot more. I apologise for looking Spanish as it seemed to be a problem for some people. I am of mixed heritage; but this may be an anomaly in Italy. The spinach was delicious!

10/10The Fiorentina steak was amazing (not the touristy one which they luckily don’t sell). Price is for fine dining but the quality is just excellent. If you want good food with a wonderful view this restaurant is worth the visit. Lastly, the service was attentive and friendly, Andy and the team were amazing.

+2This was the best meal we had in Italy. Was it pricy? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Yes. Once in a lifetime experience with an incredible view and the best bistecca florentine in the city. Highly recommend. The view of the duomo alone was worth it.

9/10I don’t know why, but I tried to change the reservation time, and it didn’t go through. That means our arrival will be 30 minutes later, but they said it’s okay and even showed us the steak meat in advance.

8.5/10Great food ,great wine and good service.Was a little disappointed that we booked and chose to use the venue for my wife’s 50th birthday meal.I did mention this in the comments well ahead of the visit and asked if they could arrange a good seat with a view and a cake (which I would pay for ) but it was not acknowledged and nobody mentioned this to me or my wife …was just another day there was no mention of my wife’s birthday and it was a special day for her !…However food was excellent and general service was good.

8/10The host was very welcoming when we entered the restaurant. The server tried to upsell us on the steak. We decided to go for a less expensive steak. The food was very delicious. My family enjoyed everything we tried. Our server didn’t come back to table to give us our bill. We asked the host for bill. Host was extremely helpful, kind and made our experience more enjoyable.

This was the highest price restaurant that we dined at in Florence. We did expect to pay more for the view of the cathedral but in hindsight felt we were stared towards much higher priced items on the menu than was warranted. Two of us had T-bone steak and the other two had pasta and risotto. The pasta dish was very good and flavoursome. The risotto was just okay. we had steak and other places and this was our least favourite. Great service overall, but try not to get swept up in the moment.

4.5/10I made a reservation through TheFork to take advantage of the discount, but when we arrived, they told us that we had to order 1.4 kg of meat. In other places, when we order 800g, the weight may vary slightly after cutting since it’s difficult to measure precisely. However, I don’t understand how they could cut exactly 1.4 kg here. Since it’s impossible to verify the exact weight, we were put in an uncomfortable position where we had to trust their claim that the portion they showed us was indeed 1.4 kg. It felt like they were using the discount as bait while forcing customers to order an unverifiable 1.4 kg portion. Despite trusting them and placing the order, the meat was cooked almost to a well-done level. I understand that bringing the meat on a hot plate might result in additional cooking, but they completely ignored our request for medium and continued grilling the meat even further on the hot plate. This was frustrating and made no sense to me.

This restaurant represents everything that Florence is: Art, confidence, courage, boldness and beauty. It is a must to visitors of the city and a great way to learn about the culinary history of the city when it come to ‘beef steak’ or as it is known here La bistecca fiorentina. The service was very bold and confident and I was happy to go for the recommendations as they were very well presented. The beef carpaccio and the chef’s beef steak recipe was something worthwhile. The carpaccio with cream of burrata and Tuscan truffle was mind blowing. If you choose this restaurant make sure you want to do beef as it is what they do best. If, like me, you are a person who does not usually eat beef, but wants to partake in this florentine tradition, you have found the best place - including also a list of great wines and a fantastic view that give the obvious e name to the restaurant.

6/10We visited for the New Year’s Eve and ate the set meals available. The food was generally good, with the exception of the famous Florentine steak (served not cool and rare, but cold and blue) . The fault of the restaurant was how the staff had clearly been instructed to turn around tables at the quickest speed possible. For two of the four courses, I was still chewing as they cleared my plate. The food was good, but the pace of staff and indifference to making the evening feel special here is only rivalled by the service offered when flying Ryan Air.
