10/10Cosy restaurant . Food was very good (duck confit and duck magret) paired with a lovely local red wine . Tarte tatin flambée to end this delicious meal . Service perfect as well

6.5/10we have been to this resturant many times before, each visit prices went up, but this time it was totally expensive. They also made a mistake with the main dish of one of us, so I had to eat mine alone till my partner will recieve what he ordered. In general I must say the service is very good. For main dishes around 30 euros could work, but for soup and starters to charge 25-36 euros is too much. We had 30% off and paid at the end for 2 persons 120 euros (so full price would be for couple 165-175 euros).

10/10Great chance to close our yearly strategy planning cycle in a lovely restaurant with great food. Our directors were so impressed with everything: the wines, the food and the atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely evening.

9/10Let's start from the good things: the food is excelent. Whatever we took was above expectation. But there were few things which made the experience a bit stressfull. First, is the menu. It is "stylish", but it is difficult to read, especially if you are not native speaker of the language. On top of it, instead of printed version of the menu it is suggested to use smartphone. So, instead of discussing the menu all visitors were stuck in the phones, what a scene for highly rated restaurants! Second, the service. Ok, it is explained in the menu that bread is not for free, but I would not expect that previous bread to be removed each time the dish is completed and new one is put on the table. I had to ask to keep the bread on table and not to bring more new. There was some difficulty to communicate in English with the waiters, and all of the above instead of being relaxed during the visit casued us being all the time in a kind of some inconvinience. Once again, the food itself is excellent, but it is not enough to give maximal rating.

9.5/10This restaurant was the best I could find in Madrid. Staff is so nice, food is delicious and the flavors are amazing. Meat and fish are super fresh. I could have eaten there for the entire trip lunch and dinner. Strongly recommended

10/10Various and interresting menu. Excellent food and service. The waiter mainly spreks Spansish, but they do their best to please the customers. Had a really nice lunch meal, would go back again.

6/10I loved this restaurent but this time I was disappointed. I chose the garlic snail but I have not been able to eat them, the texture was unusual and the sauce was oily rather the buttery. The main was good but can be improved (potatoes could be refined). I still recommend this restaurant, I guess it was a one off disappointment.

8.5/10I would go back for the 50% discount but 30% off wasn't really enough. It ends up being very very expensive and whilst it's a lovely experience it isn't worth the inflated "pre discount" prices. They need more wine options by the glass and the menu is impossible to read with weird layouts and swirly font. Go if you can find 50% off deal days. Beautiful place , nice meats. I've been 2 or 3 times but this time my duck had some chewy inedible pieces and they overdid my friends steak so we had to send it back, bit slow on water and wine service but very nice staff trying hard. I think if they loweted the price it would 10/10 but I only make the above comments as the higher the price ... The higher the expectations...

10/10Yet again, an exceptional visit. Their summer menu fish was so wonderful that I came back for it specifically. Alas, they have changed it to the autumn/ winter menu already- I felt devastated. Great news, their new autumn/ winter menu is equally wonderful! I can't help but mourn the summer fish, in the same way that one might mourn summer weather. The passing is a part of nature, but still, we suffer for it happening. It was THAT good. However, season aside, they stick to their high quality- that sauce that the fish (mero) was bathed in was exceptional. Rich, warm, decadent. Very multi-layered. Paired along wonderfully with the boiled (new?) potatoes- and they are excellent potatoes indeed. Firm, delicate skin, yet fall apart when you slice into them. The service, as always, was wonderful. The house appetizer was meat slices with pate, and a basket of toasts- amazing.

10/10Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Madrid. Felt like being in Paris- the food, the ambience, the music, the dimmed lights, it was all just wonderful. The service was fantastic. I'd highly recommend the Mero arropado- the fish was succulent and tender, and the sauce was to die for. I will be definitely coming back to have it again. A definite star of the show, the whole dish was just an explosion of flavour. The escargots were good, and the Chablis certainly didn't disappoint. The pistachio ice cream dessert was a revelation (and we're not dessert people!). Very good value for the price as well. Overall, it was a resounding 10/10, and a new favourite. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we kept going through the menu to decide what else we could order- not because we were hungry anymore, the food was so flavourful, but because we didn't want to leave.

8.5/10La Esquina del Real is a nice little restaurant with good service, but the plates are looking a little awkward and not very attractive. The taste of the food is 'original', not bad but not excellent either.

10/10Had a wonderful meal at La Esquina del Real. Very attentive waiter and the food was amazing. The menu is very interesting. Our starter salad was big enough to share. My mum's fish was lovely as was my solomillo de ternera with wild Mushroom sauce. We had ice creams to finish. Pistachio with amaretto gelly and goats cheese with honey. Delicious!
