The staff was above and beyond, they are incredibly talented and kind. We were welcomed and offered an amazing table on the terrace. The weather was perfect for eating outside as usual in Florence. They offered some help in French because they noticed it was our main language and to be honest I still struggle with my Italian, I always revert to English by default unfortunately. Anyway, we ate extremely delicious food and even more delicious Tuscan wine. We finished with the most amazing Grappa we've ever had in our lives, something that would have cost more than 20 times back in Canada. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our Saturday evening at La Falterona. Recommended 100%, even though it's a bit on the expensive side.

I had an incredible dining experience! The service was impeccable – old-school, world-class, and genuinely exceptional. One thing to note: the street is pedestrian-only, so be prepared to exit your taxi or ride-share and walk a short distance. We were warmly greeted and seated outside under a large umbrella/tent, even though it was starting to drizzle. We were cozy and comfortable. I was thrilled to see lasagna as a special! As we enjoyed our wine and bread, the rain picked up, but our server kindly offered to move us inside, which we happily accepted. The main course was absolutely amazing. After our meal, we shared a small dessert, coffee, and a small apéritif – the perfect end to a wonderful evening. This restaurant will definitely be our go-to spot when we return to Florence.

Matteo (son) was the best at helping with selections and did a beautiful job serving our florentine steak. Pasta was amazing and wine recommendation was excellent at a more than reasonable price point. Thank you Ruben for recommending this family owned restaurant. Father and son working together was heartwarming. We will return!!

The staff was wonderful and witty! The food absolutely incredible!!! We sat outside and thought it would be a perfect night! Too much noise!!! Next time we will choose to eat inside!

Considering this restaurant is just off the busy Main Street it was quiet and very reasonable. Beautifully presented food. Excellent service and lots of choice. Would recommend.

We ordered a range of things from the cheese platter to tortellini to spaghetti to Angus to duck and it was all impeccably done. The wait staff was efficient, very cordial and all-around helpful. The prices were on the higher side but definitely worth it given the experience and how central it is. 10/10 would go again.

This is a fantastic restaurant- just off the Via Faenza. Affordable elegance- in mid November, it’s not crowded, so you can really enjoy it . We had a whole branzino.

Everything was delicious. We had the assortment of sheeps cheese with fruit mustard and honey and the caprice salad to start. The cheese was fantastic. We ate every bit of it. Four of us shared a 2 kg Florentine Chianina steak cooked medium rare. It was cooked to perfection. We are until we could eat no more and brought some back to our hotel for my husband who stayed back. The spinach side was very good. We had the panna cotta with Carmel(the best I've dated to date) and the fruit salad which I'd order again. The decaf espresso was excellent.

The service staff is kinda selective with the customers. If you are Asian, it's best you spend your money elsewhere, where you are more welcomed.

Excellent restaurant. Great food and service. We are only sorry we found it on the last day of our month long trip to Florence and Umbria. The steak tartare and octopus were exceptional!

I’m a foodie and it takes a lot to impress me. From the moment we were greeted I felt that we had made a great choice for dinner. The wait staff was extremely helpful, attentive and professional. The ambience was comfortable and pleasant. We met some guests from Kentucky that enjoyed a Florentine steak and we were quite in awe. Way too much food for us. I opted for the almond Parmesan crusted steak and it was hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The wine was wonderful and I can not say enough good things about the experience. I highly recommend

Nothing we ate was very good. The bread for the bruschetta was so hard it was inedible, while the octopus was cooked very well it was completely bland, the tiramisu was clearly preprepared and the texture was dense and sticky-not good at all. The service was very good, we just didn’t enjoy anything we ate :(

Best steak I’ve ever had! My wife and I had a great experience and our waiter was very helpful with a wine selection that went well with our meal.

T-bone steak was not delicious but the price was expensive . Minium amount we must order was too much for 2 person to eat.

The best steak we ever had! Amazing quality food and you can tell the care they have for both service and quality. From the small touches, like positioning the orange slices perfectly in people's drinks, to the warm plates, to the big things, like an amazing staff and high quality food, they were simply perfection. The cost may be high for some, but it's worth it. We already made reservations for tomorrow.

We were looking for Florentine Steak and wine and we got that along with a few tasty grilled potatoes, a little bread, and a nice chocolate torte for dessert. The waiter was expert, friendly, and explained everything. The check was what we expected. I great meal!

The food, paring wine, and even the menu suggested were extraordinary. If you visit firenze, you should try this restaurat.

There is a reason why this restaurant is rated so highly. The slab of steak I ordered, which was a 1.5 kg rib eye was cooked to order and the service by Marco was superb and coming from the US one of the best waiters I have had in Italy. Attentive with a sense of humor, and an edge of friendliness. I highly recommend. My wife and I obviously shared the rib eye. The spritz were delicious as well.

Food was excellent ???? if you like steak get the fillet steak myself and my husband got the 2 different ones on the menu WOW fantastic
