We reserved an outdoor table but it has been raining in Rome making outdoor dining impossible here. The staff had already arranged for us to have an indoor table. Being a little warm, our waiter, Emiliano, brought fans to point at our table. Everyone enjoyed their meals, especially the house made pastas. The salmon pasta does not come with homemade pasta but my friend couldn’t stop eating it. The linguini allo scoglio was extremely delicious with all the seafood being expertly cooked. The wine list is not huge, but the favorites are represented and fairly priced. Paying the bill was easy, walk to the counter and tell them which items in the bill are yours. Everyone is very friendly and they are all proud of their food. This was my second visit and I will definitely return.

Recommended by a local at our hotel. You need to make a reservation if you want to sit outside. In 5 days in Rome this is the best restaurant we went to. Wonderful service, Exceptional food. Portions quite large so go easy. Really enjoyed this place.

We were staying across the valley in Ravello and walked over for dinner. We then realized that the family also owned the coffee shop. We found the grandmother who also worked in the coffee shop, She was a wonderful person and the family also. The food was fantastic as well

Great family style restaurant with delicious Roman style cuisine. The waiters are efficient and friendly. We had the linguine with fresh clams, Tonarelli cacio e pepe, and grilled scampi…all fresh and cooked perfectly.

Every time we are in Rome we have diner at La Francescana. This restaurant always has made our evening an exceptional experience. The food and service are perfect. Its a neighborhood gem away from the crowds of inner Rome.

A fabulous little find, food was excellent and plentiful. Ate there twice and didn’t manage dessert as we were too full. Very popular restaurant with locals and tourists alike but would recommend booking as quite a few were turned away as they hadn’t made a reservation. Will definitely return here next time we visit Rome.

Caprese is correct. I had Pasta Cacio e Pepe because I wanted to try the basics in Roma and it was disappointing that such basic dish cannot be perfected. For dessert, I had Tiramisu, it was average. The layers are not even, sometime it is just pudding, sometime it is more of biscuits rather than pudding (speaking of vertical cut of the whole Tiramisu. And I end up with finding hair on the Tiramisu. When I mentioned it, I was answered with short "Sorry", no attempt to act on it. There was a very nice lady serving professionally, and some others were having too much that they stopped to act professionally (one table got the bill in a small plate with candies, I got the paper bill and that's it / no smiles).

This restaurant was in a very quiet area and although it was during the week it was fully packed with people so I suggest that you book if you decide to go. The ambience was so warm and nice and the service was impecable. The waiter was a perfect gentleman. The food we ordered was abundant and very good. Would definitley return to this restaurant and recommend it to others.
