10/10We have been to La Frégate in the past and always found the food excellent especially the Boeuf Bourguignon. The staff are very helpful and super friendly, The atmosphere and decor are very Parisienne. Would heartily recommend

10/10We have had drinks here and eaten light meals outside here over decades but never eaten dinner inside. We were very pleasantly surprised- food was very good, other dishes around us looked excellent as well. Service was efficient, friendly and quick. Will go back next time we are here.

10/10The chef is to be complimented for the superb dining experience! The quality of both the entree and the main course were excellent. The staff is attentive and Very Very Pleasant! They actually seem to Enjoy their profession!! The interior is a beautiful “Belle Epoque” design and one feels that they have been transformed to another time. Looking forward to going again soon!

10/10Garcon was very attentive and the food was a delight. Recommend reservation to avoid disappointment. Perfect spot to grab a bite before or after Louvre, Orsay or Orangerie.

10/10Amazing restaurant, my favourite in Paris. Visited here 6 times over the years and each time gets better. Food was incredible, the service even better, staff were superb and made an extra fuss of the children who I’ve now introduced to my fave restaurant. Excellent value for money and perfect location.

2.5/10Touris trap! We saw 3 mice in the restaurant. The waiters were not excited! In addition, they tried to make us order more and more dishes. If you want water, you will have to pay. Mediocre food...not recommended

5/10We first ate at La Fregate around 25 years ago and fell in love with this brasserie. We made a special point of coming back on this trip to Paris and almost wish we hadn’t. The prix fixe lunch was reasonable value but the food was of only middling quality. What hurt the most was seeing how this once lovely old brasserie (in all of its wonderful faded glory) has given up and gone all out for the tourist buck. We won’t be back, ever, and in some ways this sad experience has made it easier for us to say goodbye forever to a once cherished haunt.

2/10This once famous and long established Parisian institution has become a disastrous health hazard under new management. We were served rancid herring that could have been caught in the sewers. The place is filthy and we filmed the rats that openly run around. The staff stare silently at the floor when you bring these terrible issues to their attention. Absolutely avoid at all costs. It is a serious health hazard.

2.5/10Very disappointing. We have been dining at La Fregate for many, many years during our Paris vacations and had always been pleased with the food and service. But, not last night. We were treated like two ignorant tourists, shuffled off to a dank and shabby back room, handed menus that were the quality of a cheap paperback book that had been washed in the back pocket of dirty trousers and proceeded to wait….and wait. We ordered the poulet supreme and it was terrible; overcooked and plated like a heap of leftover hash. We picked at our good and finally decided enough was enough. We will not be back but then, I doubt that anyone will care.

10/10So, yes, this restaurant has all the markings of a “tourist venue”, right on a corner street across from the Siene in the museum district, but we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the drinks, service and food at an unbeatable price point. The 50e grand cru along with the tiramisu was honestly as good as it gets. Highly recommend!

10/10Great food, great atmosphere, great waiter! I wasn’t sure what to expect based on mixed reviews, but we had an excellent NYE dinner there. My husband had the steak and I had chicken, both had wonderful flavors. My only complaint was the dirty washroom. That area was in need of attention.

7.5/10La Fregate is superbly positioned with an amazing view across the river to the Louvre. The service was fabulous - friendly, helpful and professional. They were very accommodating with food allergies and we had a wonderful night. Thank you.
