The food was fantastic! Ivan (the chef) was incredibly welcoming and added a personal touch to the experience. The restaurant itself was beautifully set up — relaxed yet elegant — making it the perfect place for an enjoyable evening.

Food was well cooked, and service was good. The menu, and plating is a bit of a throwback but all the flavors work well.

I had the pleasure of having dinner at this beautifully decorated high-end restaurant. I was traveling toute seule. I have felt compelled to write something at the risk of encouragement to other seekers of quality dining. Two words are only required. Fantastic. And value. I have been lucky enough to dine in many Michelin awarded establishments all over the world. This place takes some beating! Let's start with the welcome. Fabulous. The menu was a wonderfully chosen mix of tasty treats. I chose a fois gras. With some brilliant sides of flavorsome sauces. And a sweet rocket salad. This is the best fois I have had in Lyon. The chef, Ivan, had already introduced himself with a ready smile and warm handshake. I had already asked him to choose a win to accommodate my choices of food that I had in mind. Ivan didn't disappoint, and neither did he with the main of melt in the mouth beef. Loaded with truffle and a rich sauce to accompany the mash. It was so good that I used the bread to clean my plate! I had a cheese selection to finish, which was also superb. It was simply wonderfully simple. And unbeatable value. I took luncheon across the road at a two Michelin star restaurant for lunch. I can honestly say that although that was excellent, in terms of value, this was ten times better. And more fun. One of the best places in Lyon. This was fine dining, fun and a wonderfully entertaining evening. I highly recommend this little gem. Thanks, Ivan and the team.

This small independent restaurant is an extraordinary find! We had the most sublime and memorable dinner combining unusual flavours and ingredients. Exceptional dining at ordinary (lower than many) prices! Loved the faded grandeur of the decor and the welcome from chef Ivan - who trained with Marco Pierre White and Paul Bocuse - was so warm and welcoming. Lovely waitress too. Choose this place - you won’t forget it in a hurry.

Absolutely superb. And for that price! What a deal. We loved every mouth full. The chef was very customer service oriented and checked in on us. It was important to him to craft a meal specifically for us.

Owner and chef is amazing, even served us and really cared for his guests. Ambiance is beautiful. 10/10 experience!

Beautiful restaurant in every way- ambiance, food, wines and the servers were the best!!! The owner/chef is passionate about his food. He was patient and went over the entire menu with us. The food was absolutely delicious!! Our server was the sweetest young lady who added to our enjoyment with her competence and wonderful smile! We had such a good evening and you will too!

The meal was fabulous, wonderfully prepared and presented and truly excellent! Service was very quick. The owner is extremely personable and entertaining. One of the best meals we experienced in France! I highly recommend this restaurant to people visiting Lyon.

We visited on a very wet Tuesday night and there were few diners. The owner/chef arrived late and apologised that he had family issues. He explained the history of this quirky restaurant restaurant and described dishes to us. He was very charming. The meals from a fixed price menu were well crafted, but we got the impression that they weren’t really on their A game. Flavours were a little lacking and our two very different mains (as described) looked identical except for the meat. Enjoyed the experience, but felt it could be better.
