9/10We showed up on a night they had a special event. There was a guitar player and someone who seemed to be an owner singing well known Italian songs. It was a vibrant atmosphere, the food was well prepared, and the wine list was extensive. it was a great experience.

10/10Loved it. We wanted a change from just pasta and pizza in Rome (not that their pasta wasn’t good). The lamb chops and steak were great, our sons loved the Gattaburger, and our daughter gave the Bucatini a thumbs up.. Friendly service, good food and drinks, would go to again.

9/10I had the best Carbonara in Italy. The Oxtail is also very nice. They recommended the wine - Tenuta, Tre Cancelli Merlot Lituo which paired perfect with the dishes! The restaurant is not along the Main Street to flag a taxi but thankfully I download the Uber apps. High recommended!

5.5/10We made our reservation based upon reviews on the Fork. The restaurant was more touristy than we expected and was full. We ordered and the food arrived quickly, a sign that it was probably heated up and served to us. It wasn't tasty at all. We ate and left. The next morning we both had stomach problems. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

9.5/10The best food we have had on our trip! We compared to Enzo, down the block and this was FAR better and so perfectly priced! Get the focaccia with Roman bacon, the stuffed zucchini flower, oxtail ragu and the carbonara! Insanely good.

3/10Honestly the worst meal I have had in Italy. The bruschetta was tough, the carbonara was so salty, my wife had the vegetarian version which was under seasoned and tasteless while mine had far too much and I like my food salty… The staff seemed disinterested when I went inside to pay the staff member was at his seat vaping, no words just pointed to the card machine. Certainly would not recommend this place.

10/10La Gattabuia was recommended to us by a local and it do not disappoint. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere - it seemed like there were about as many locals there as there was us touristas. The service was good - very good and easy to get their attention, but as is common in Italy, they are certainly not in a rush and will leave you alone unless needed. The portions are generous and the prices are quite good for the high quality food they serve. It's about 10 -12€ for a taxi ride from the Trevi fountain area. While you are there you should definitely take some time to walk around the Trastavere neighborhood, especially if you need a taxi home because the best place to get a taxi later in the evening is at the taxi stand near Ponti Garibaldi.

9/10The food at this restaurant is authentic and amazing!! We really enjoyed the taste. It was as if we were eating at our GrandMother's house for dinner. We will return here for sure, and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authenticity! The only issues we had with the restaurant were: 1. A few flies were flying around/on our table. This is likely due to the time of year and weather. Hopefully the restaurant can ensure that the flies dont become an issue going forward. 2. The service was tough (at times) to get a hold of. With the "3 room" concept (it's actually pretty cool: like you are in a wine cellar), the wait staff are moving around from room to room. But they were very friendly and helpful!!

9.5/10Amazing Italian flavor and ambience. This is a true gem hidden in Rome's Trastevere neighborhood. The Napoli pizza is a must-try! Be aware that the restaurant is mostly below street level and is easy to miss if you aren't paying attention.
