From the greeting at the door and welcome glass prosecco to the complementary limoncello at the end, and everything in between, this was one of our favorite dining experiences ever. The servers are friendly, informative, not pushy. We shared a pasta, indulged in a delicious t-bone with roasted potatoes, paired with a half bottle of Chianti recommended by the server. Perfection! Highly recommend

It was the best T-bone steak I had in Florence. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers. The staff were so friendly that we had a wonderful and happy evening.

We visited twice on our recent trip and they were our favorite meals in Italy! The vibe is cozy and warm, service was friendly and helpful, food was great. On our first visit we split a ribollita and the tagliere for one, the lemon truffle ravioli, and a steak with roasted potatoes. It was a ton of food but all super good. I was still thinking about the ravioli days later so we went back! After another soup and ravioli we tried different entrees - the grilled sausage and the filet with porcini mushrooms - again, both yummy. The filet was a bit more like a roast with gravy than a grilled steak which I didn't expect, but it was still very good.

The service was fantastic...friendly, helpful staff to assist in choice our dishes. The mushroom risotto was a dream , as was the fillet steak cut, along with the pasta dish with pear. The Chianti red wine amazing and of course the tiramisu. Highly recommend this more traditional eatery for good authentic Italian dishes.

Service was lovely and the staff is so welcoming. The food was exquisite and some of the best filet I have ever had. Be mindful of your reservation time as there will always be someone behind you to take your place, should you be late. Call and talk to someone and they will work with you. 10/10 will definitely return when we do!

We made a reservation in advance and visited the restaurant. The three of us shared a T-bone steak and a ham & cheese platter, and the portions were more than enough. The steak was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly, which made our time even more enjoyable.

I love steak, and here the steak (porterhouse) was amazing. You must order it. We also had the papadella with wild boar stew another Florence specialty, it was delicious. We finished with two fabulous desserts, panna cotta and warm chocolate cake.

We went to La Gratella because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was authentic Italian cuisine and absolutely delicious. We had the Bacala in a tomato sauce and the ravioli stuffed with pear and pecorino cheese in a gorgonzola and walnut sauce. The desserts were amazing as well. Our server Valentino was so gracious and informative. If you are in Florence you must go to La Gratella.

The food was wonderful and the service outstanding, all for a price that was quite reasonable. It is beautiful restaurant. We had a lovely time there and would go back in a minute.

We have had the best dishes in Italy ever! The server who has a black curly hair explained us the menu very kindly! We really wanted to say him thank but he seemed very busy, so we wouldn’t tell him🥲 Both the kindness and the taste makes us enjoy Firenze more and more! Thank you again for us to make happy💕

The dry beef, pici with cabbage, fillet steak and tiramisu are good. The recommended prosecco, white wine and lemonata are very good too.

This was our second visit. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious!! The steak melts in your mouth! I love the complimentary Prosecco upon arrival.

Having already visited number 2 & 4 in the Fork’s best of Florence list and bowled over by them, my expectation was high for the no. 1 restaurant and unfortunately I was disappointed. Maybe it was a bad day for La Gratella, but at first I did not even feel welcomed. The steak that my son ordered was good, but the roast potatoes on the side were worst than in a very cheap English pub. My pasta was poorly cooked and presented and the sauce was stodgy and lumpy. I gave that feedback when asked and they did not charge me in the end for the pasta. I am one customer who will gladly pay for good food and good service. They really tried their best after that and warmed up in their hospitality but first impressions always matter! Their desserts were good and so was the coffee. But since my mains were not satisfactory, I give them a 2.5 out of 5. And one thing to remember- all customers are equal and it’s important to make them feel that way from the moment they set foot in your restaurant.

We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding. Very good value for money. I would highly recommend a visit.

Simply excellent. Service was good, food came out promptly, steak was excellent, and prices are reasonable and unpretentious. Sat there for an hour and a half enjoying the food and wine. A wonderful experience.

The place was very nice! The service was outstanding! Jimmy our waiter was marvelous! He gave great recommendations and was extremely knowledgeable and attentive!!! We were celebrating a birthday and he went beyond !! He was amazing, making the birthday girl feel very special! Congratulations!!

This was the best meal we had in Florence, everything was excellent. Could not fault it, best steak I have ever had!
