We had an absolutely fantastic dinner at La Grotta Guelfa last night with a group of six, and it was one of the highlights of our time in Florence. The entire evening was exactly what you hope for when dining in Italy—relaxed, unhurried, and filled with incredible food. The service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy a long, leisurely meal together. Between our group we ordered quite a variety: the bistecca alla fiorentina, salmon, veal with porcini mushrooms, pici pasta, ravioli, bruschetta, fresh bread, wine, and desserts. Every single dish was exceptional. The bistecca was beautifully prepared and flavorful, and the veal with porcini was rich and delicious. But the pastas truly stole the show. The pici and ravioli were absolutely perfect—without question the best pasta we’ve had during our time in Italy. The atmosphere was pleasant, but there was hardly any service to speak of. The waitstaff had cold expressions and unfriendly attitudes—the only exception was the lady at the cashier, who was the friendliest. The food was average; the lobster wasn't fresh, though the dessert was good. As a tourist, this was my last meal in Florence, and unfortunately, it was also the worst. I would recommend other restaurants instead.

Lovely atmosphere, service and kind staff! We had a delicious lunch of zuppe & ravioli. Finished with a lemon sorbet served inside a lemon skin.

Couldn’t say anything better for Grotta Guelfa. It’s our favorite restaurant in Firenze! We used to try different restaurants in Firenze, and found that Grotta is the best. A cozy place that you can enjoy fun and delicious food!

What a nice restaurant！We stay in Firenze for four days and had three meals at this restaurant. Food is perfect, and the service is really warm welcoming and attentive!

Really great spot! The food was excellent and looked amazing. The homemade wine was super tasty and went perfectly with the meal. Plus, the location is perfect. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Steak 600g well done I ordered Spaghetti Vongole Greca salad, wine, water, and cola. There was a lot of steak, so we shared it. The steak was very delicious and the spaghetti Vongole was also delicious. The salad was fresh and I was very satisfied. However, the staff did not seem friendlyㆍ
