Latteria mamma Iabica is an excellent restaurant in food, location and staff. The food is delicious and carefully prepared, the servers are courteous, kind and always available. The chef, besides preparing excellent food, is a very kind, polite and friendly man who cares much for his food and customers. He carefully explained the story behind the name of the restaurant, showing how close he is to it. Would definitely recommend to everyone, it is one of the best restaurants I have been to.

Just the best local produce cooked to perfection. Fab vegetarian choices - artichokes & potato were sublime & pasta top notch! Staff friendly in this quirky buzzy place - loved it

The service was incredible, the waitress Ivana was very helpful and kind. The chef came to my table to make sure that my husband and I were having a great experience. The food was very creative and delicious, definitely the best experience in Syracuse! Highly recommend!

The food was delicious, the atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and friendly with Italian families and as for the service, they could not have been more accommodating and attentive. Just a lovely evening with greart company, tasty food and delicious wine... all at a really reasonable price. I ask, what more could one ask for!

Slow Food, Sweet Service This is a ‘Slow Food’ Restaurant but actually the service is not slow, just the food to fork concept. Lots is interesting twists on local food / food sources; funky farmhouse vibe and staff were so helpful; relocated out booking from 9.30 to 8pm on the terrace; inside is buzzy and atmospheric btw just we were tired. Lady who runs all things is super efficient and helpful, floor staff are sweeties. Wine by the glass could be colder and amaro also but food was delicious.

The food was excellent and the staff was courteous, pleasant and very helpful to those who don’t speak Italian. One of the best restaurants every visited throughout Europe.

First night in Siracusa and felt very welcomed by staff and food

Delicious food and a warm reception from the staff. This was one of the best meals that we had in Sicily. The staff spoke English, proudly explained the dishes to us and made excellent recommendations. It was also great value. Thank you for making our final meal such a good one!

This lovely restaurant t was recommended by a friend d who had lived in Siracusa. The restaurant t espouses the slow food movement, and all Food is sourced locally and very fresh. The room was nice, and it was quite busy. The appetizer course and Pasta were excellent but the recommended fish (amberjack in lemon sauce) was very dry and overcooked. Otherwise we would Have given 4 stars overall. The servers were very friendly.

Excellent food and service. Very accommodating for very young diners, 3 under 4 years old. Wonderful mains and desserts. Highly recommended

Food was excellent. Shared an artichoke app, Had two mains- pappardelle and veal braciola. Then some delicious almond gelato for dessert. Great vibe here. Fun to watch the busy open kitchen (and they were busy on Tuesday eve in November). We had booked some time ago for opening time of 7:30. Husband was a little sad that they serve no beer at all. More proactive help/recs with the all Italian menu would have been nice - but again they were quite busy. Google translate was helpful. Hostess later apologized that they were late receiving English version of their new menu.

Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! Best experience in Sicily to date. The best tagliatelle I have ever tasted with a pesto that was out of this world. Eleonora gave service that was above and beyond. She even made the effort to bring us a raw caba to show us what went into the bread to make it so exceptional. And then she brought out the chef!

It may seem a bit out there(we were staying in Ortigia and walking) but it was worth every step. Great wine list, really helpful and friendly staff, and maybe one of the best meals we had in our whole month long trip to Italy. We had the Lolli Pasta with Kohlrabi Pesto, which was our favorite, and the Busiate with Broccoli as well as the Caponata. Looking forward to coming back and eating here again!!

The food was very good, but we had to sit outside on a hot and humid evening near a busy road despite booking with the fork as the inside was full. We were four diners and one main course arrived so late due to a mistake in the kitchen that the other diners had finished. The servers were nice about it, but it did let the experience down a little.

What a lovely restaurant. The staff were all excellent, and took a great deal of pride in giving the best service and food. This was shown by the fact that they turned multiple walk-ins away,( when other places would have squeezed a few more in) so not to compromise the experience. We were given complimentary delicious chocolate gelato as the almond one we had requested was not available. The trouble taken to accommodate another table's particular dietary requirements and preferences was Fantastic!

Lovely restaurant away from the busy areas of Ortigia. The food was very good and the wines were also very good and well priced. Service was a little unattentive but it was also busy and maybe they were short staffed. All in all we would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to have authentic Sicilian food in a lovely atmosphere.

The first two courses were amazing, probably the best we’ve had in sicily, but we ordered the tuna fillet and it was very over cooked unfortunately, still good flavour in the sauce but fish was inedible. Maybe it is supposed to be prepared very well done here? The service was wonderful at the beginning of the evening but they seemed to forget about us by the third course.

Per quanto riguarda il servizio è chiaro che se abbiamo iniziato bene non avremmo assolutamente voluto finire male, c'era così tanta gente che magari può succedere. Anche in questo caso avreste potuto semplicemente chiamare qualcuno. Il nostro lavoro è veramente faticoso ma noi ci mettiamo tutto l'impegno possibile. A volte i clienti invece hanno poca comprensione. Grazie
