Excellent food!

I love this place. I come to Vence just to go there for a meal. Been three times over 10 years and it always is outstanding. And the people running the place are just lovely, they make you feel so welcome.

We changed our time of the booking however the restaurant did not pick this up and was not very polite with us when we arrived and could not seat us. It’s a shame on all counts as we have eaten there several times before and always enjoyed. I do understand that they waited for us at the original time so disappointing for them also I guess.

This is a lovely family-run restaurant with excellent hearty French cooking. Service was kindly and the staff were very keen to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Sadly we could not sit outside as it was pouring with rain, but the outside area looks lovely.

A little disappointed with the whole evening unfortunately.. It was a important romantic evening & we were both feeling we should have to a restaurant with more atmosphere. Also we felt menu was disappointing.

La Litote is our favourite restaurant in Vence. A superb menu (including several vegetarian options), delicious food in every course, good and affordable wines. The staff are friendly an and helpful and impressively professional. It’s located in the old town, and has a lovely interior and also, on warm summer evenings, the possibility of dining outside in the courtyard. It’s at the smarter end of the town’s restaurants, and this is reflected in the price (although it’s nowhere near the expense of dining at Chateau St-Martin on the hill overlooking the town or at the Colombe d’Or in St-Paul-de-Vence). Highly recommended. Worth booking in advance, as people are well aware how excellent a place this is.
