    Lovely staff, amazing wine selection, but the food was like a bad dream from 'haute cuisine' cruise ship cooking about 20 years ago. Plastic pipettes of pointless liquid and tasteless foam. The food was low quality and we felt ripped off. For example, the amuse bouche was a scallop and ham sandwich that came shoved in the same bread roll we were given to accompany the meal. There was a bad attempt at sushi served with slices of chorizo, and dessert was just a baked apple. It felt lazy and unsophisticated while trying to pretend to be otherwise. The serving staff were fantastic however, even if they did speed us through 4 courses and pack us off out the door in little more than an hour. It was overall not the experience we wanted for our romantic anniversary dinner.

    Our excellent experience with this restaurant was not confirmed. The waiters were a bit stressed - maybe because of a very full house. As a result of that the service was not great at all.

    It is the fifth time we are using this restaurant. Unfortunately it will also be the last time. Being myself a Palace Hotel GM I may say that I understand about food quality and service. The "amuse bouche" made of "tartare de Daurade" was smelly (old fish) and impossible to eat. But the worst part was the main course. The three of us ordered the "Riz en Paëlla à l'encre de Seiche et jambe de Poulpe rôtie au "Josper". We could not eat it as it was heavily salty and the "poulpe" tentacles when not properly cleaned as there were full of sand. So we hardly touched the plate and asked for the bill. The Restaurant manager asked us what was the problem, and after explaining the reason for our complaint, he said he will tell the chef. On his return he told us that he was sorry and offered us desert which we kindly refused. On receiving the bill I noticed that we were charged for the 3 main courses that we returned. I did not want to argue and paid the whole bill. Unfortunately for this place, due to their poor quality of food and to their unprofessional behaviour I will surely promote to all my acquaintances and to anyone who will ask my opinion, not to use this restaurant ever and to let anyone know about this bad experience.
