9/10The restaurant has a wonderful view over Florence from an elevated position. We were seated under cover but at a good table, possibly because we had booked in advance. We found the service and food very good, without being particularly expensive, so would definitely recommend this restaurant for tourists, for a romantic meal or a family gathering.

2/10Underripe tomatoes and rubbery mozzarella passed off as a caprese & over fried polenta with a single mushroom presented as a seasonal app. La Loggia is capitalizing on its location and realizes there is nothing to invest in patrons who are one -time visitors to Piazza Michelangelo. Even Refused to call a taxi for us during a downpour following our meal and directed us to walk downhill in the dark and pouring rain to find a taxi on our own on the Piazza. Just a shame to find such a lack of customer service. This was The ONLY tourist trap we encountered in our beautiful 4 days in Florence.

5/10This place has the best view in the city, but probably the worst service we had in all of Florence. The steak was good, but you can get a better meal almost anywhere else in Florence for half the price! I would recommend coming here for just a drink!

10/10The food and service were excellent, but the biggest plus is the view of Florence from the high point of Piazzelle Michelangelo. First ate at La Loggia on my initial visit in 1985 and try to have lunch there whenever I return to Florence.

9/10+3The views were spectacular. Watching the sunset was beautiful. The food was good and the service was too. The ahi tuna was very tasty and so was the filet with foie gras. The tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms was ok. The mushrooms were tastier then the noodles. We enjoyed the Nutella dessert. Overall a great experience, I'd come back.

4/10The case of a restaurant banking in its splendid location and neglecting proper service and quality food. We had chosen this venue for our final meal in Florence and sadly it was disappointing. The food was average and the service slow and so inattentive the manager had to step in to clear our plates and deliver our dessert.

6/10Expensive steak was way over salted and tomatoe side dish was old and mealy. Tomatoe soup and beef stew with beans were good. Bar was good. Location fantastic.

3.5/10When we first saw pictures of this restaurant, we saw photos online and were enamoured with the view and the tables and the look of it. Do not be deceived. The pictures are from events such as weddings. There is no balcony with lovely tables with white tablecloths and a view. We were expecting a fine dining experience, and there were basic tables that were set underneath a tent outside. We asked why we weren't inside on the balcony and they said those tables are only for events. We left, much to the dismay of the waiter.. Very disappointing. Their pictures do not show what you actually get.

6/10We were looking forward to watching the sunset and having drinks and appetizers. Really could not see much from where we were seated. And although it was a very nice ambience over all with great views of the city, the service was horrible and we left before we could even order more food.

3/10Booked this restaurant for our last night in Florence as it was suggested by a lovely local on the train here for the view. Messaged the restaurant on instagram to request a table with a lovely view as we wanted to make the most of our last night. They replied straight away with an email address to send the request to, to have it fulfilled. Sent two emails which both received no response. Got to the restaurant and was given one of the worst tables with a very restricted view. Service extremely slow I’m writing this review as it’s been over 30 minuets and no one has even taken a drink order. We’ve tried to get the waiters attention (very politely) twice and been ignored. Would avoid here and choose another restaurant up here as the view is amazing. Even if we can’t see it from this table. The food eventually came and was pretty bad. I also asked for salt which the waiter said they would get… I’m still waiting for it and we left 3 hours ago.

6/10The ambience was like being at a wedding reception with only a handful of guests present. At these prices I was expecting a more posh setting. The wood was very good and the steaks prepared tour our liking however the waitress confused main dishes with appetizers so be clear when you order what your expectations are. They did redeem themselves with a 20% discount which was quite gracious of them.

9/10Ambiance was amazing. I made reservation to celebrate my 50th birthday and none of the staff acknowledged it. Service was ok and food was ok as well, not great. Location, ambiance and facilities were great. We enjoyed the atmosphere regardless of the restaurant failings.

6.5/10Steaks were sub-par at very premium prices. Aged T-bone wasn't available, añd the waiter offered the ribeye, saying that it "Was the T-bone with the filet cut off". Absolutely I'm orrect. We took a chance anyway. The steak for two, at 140 euros, was tough and chewy, despite being rare. (They did discount it to 120 euros.) Any average restaurant would serve a better steak. A side tomato salad was nothing more than a sliced tomato with a leaf of basil. No dressing or anything to make it a "salad". The view of the city from the hilltop setting is beautiful, but a nearly 400 euro tab for dinner for four that didn't make the grade, makes a beautiful view sour.

Also, we apologize for the fact that we ran out of Dry Age T-bone that night: we have a large selection of types of beef and it may happen that sometimes not all are available, so we try to suggest alternatives. 4.5/10View is the best part of this restaurant. Food is worse than I thought it would be for this tourist focused restaurant. Service is good though. Would never go back, you can get same view at piazza Michaelangelo
