9.5/10We greatly enjoyed our mussels and frites at this unpretentious seafood restaurant in the heart of Brussels. The service was attentive and the menu was straightforward and elegant. We'll certainly be returning here on subsequent trips to the city.

9.5/10Delicious, fresh seafood. Crab salad, escargot, Mussels and “fried” cod - not deep fried, rather pan fried and yummy. Really great dinner. Highly recommend.

9/10The shrimp croquettes were excellent as usual, but the pan-fried dish - just average and the fries that came with weren’t impressive. Liked that they carry Harney tea.

10/10This is a restaurant that has been family owned for 43 years in a local area just 10 minutes walk from the tourist area. The service was the best; fast, observant and friendly. The food was outstanding!! Because of the location, away from the tourist area, the friendly owner and staff, I will come back next time in Brussels!! Made a very special memory for me!

10/10This is a really excellent restaurant. Service was friendly and quick. The food was outstanding - we had a variety of starters and mains that were all great - and the desserts were spot on. Would very happily return and recommend to others.

10/10The owner welcomed me and asked if I preferred indoor or outdoor dining. I decided indoor. I had moules frite. The smell’s from the kitchen were wonderful. And the food was even better. The house mussels and house dessert tart were to die for. Wish I could return often.

9.5/10Lunch was wonderful. Great little place. No air conditioning on a warm day, if that will bother you. A warm welcome from the owner and from the chef, delicious food. Try the fish soup! You will never forget it! Anything you order will be wonderful.

10/10This is, by far, one of the best restaurants I have dined, including 5 stars in Paris and London. Family-owned, the restaurant serves seafood that is nuanced, complex, and subtly delicious. I had the monkfish and my wife the skate wings,. Both were superb. I also had escargot but had trouble dislodging (as an American I don’t get much practice in this) one of the snails from its shell. The chef sent the plate back to me with the snail out if its shell . It was superb! I found an attempt at speaking French goes a long way too. The restaurant is off the beaten path and there are few tourists, so it is a nice escape from the Grand Place. What a find!

10/10I went for dinner, booked 2 days in advance through the system in their website. Food was really really good, we had mussels, French fries (the Belgians with me told me they were cooked perfectly the Belgian way :D), croquettes aux crevettes (delicious!) and one of the desserts. Service was absolutely fantastic!

9.5/10A true French style seafood bistro among a lot of wannabe Brussels places, run by a charming energetic husband-wife-daughter team. Excellent simple sole and skate, great snails, well priced wine. Go!

10/10Located near a very quiet road . Excellent food , high quality , everything well prepared with love! Service was excellent as well . Best meal in Brussels so far . Definitely try the fish soup and the snails .

10/10This great restaurant is located at a very nice surrondings in Bruxells. The welcoming hosts have run the place for 43 years, born and rasied in Portugal. Excellent services, wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. My best recommendation.

10/10The owner happily greeted us when we entered the restaurant. As soon as we sit down, he kindly helped us hang our coats and let us know there's free wifi and English menu. All staffs were super busy but super friendly. We ordered Fried Sole Fish and Mussels (from the house). Both were so fresh and cooked perfectly! Highly recommend!!!

9/10Very nice cosy place with very honest food. Buyer here is the best, food cooked like it is without any fusion processes and strange sauces. If you take fish - you can be sure it is fresh and best fish in city. Very good balanced menu and everything what arrived was very tasty. Good selection of wine. A bit lake of service, couple people who key of crew quite busy, junior part of team are not trained or motivated well. They a bit lost in what they are doing.

10/10This restaurant was truly amazing. What an experience from beginning to end! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the wine was exceptional and the food! It was truly the best seafood we have had - and we are from Scotland! High praise! We have recommended it to several people already, this restaurant deserves it, as does the fabulous chef Teresa who came out at the end of the evening to thank everyone. What a star! Cannot recommend highly enough. ❤️❤️❤️

10/10This was absolutely hands down the best meal I had in all of Bruxelles! I had the Raie (stingray) for the first time ever and it was divine! The server also helped show me how to eat it to avoid the cartilage and everything was so delicious and flavorful. I also enjoyed being able to watch the chef prepare the food in the kitchen. Truly a magical experience.

10/10We managed to get a reservation during our short stay in Brussels and must say that this is a wonderful find. We felt immediately the warmth and coupled with the good food, so everything was perfect. Chef Teresa was also nice, checking on us. Would come again given then chance!

10/10Our dinner at La Maree was quite possibly the best seafood meal we have ever had. Just a tiny little restaurant with simple furnishings where upon arrival you are greeted warmly by the owner. The seafood is as advertised and fresh that day from the sea. Divine is the only way to describe all of our courses. The scampie, the mussels, the fried cried , and fries sea bream excellent! Then to finish off the evening we chose the desert of the house and it did not disappoint. Melt in your mouth delicious. Staff attended to our every need throughout our dinner and the owner checked on us regularly with his huge smile and quick wit:) Fortunately I had made reservations far in advance as the restaurant was completely booked. Fabulous experience!

10/10La Marée is an absolute favorite in Brussels! It is personal and intimate and the best seafood possible. Highly recommend the fresh anchovies and the butter-poached skate! We will return again next time--we never miss this place when in the city. Perfect! Thank you!

9/10We’ve an excellent experience. Very nice restaurant although the dining area is not big. We ordered mussels & steamed skate fish. They were really good. All staff were efficient & enthusiastic to introduce dishes to guests. Recommend to book a table online. Absolutely will come again!
