As soon as you take a step into this restaurant, you can feel the tradition of this place. The smells of the excellent regional food being made in the kitchen. The service was fantastic from Roberto who made us feel welcomed and comfortable, As he brought some of the best food I have ever eaten in Alicante. The dishes are amazing, bursting with flavour and in my view the best around. I had such a good experience I had to book another table for the following Friday. If I could give it a better rating I would because Honestly,. A trip to Alicante is wasted without coming to La Marmita.

10/10we had a really nice time in your restaurant. Great food and our waiter Robert was a real Star. very attentive and offered us some good suggestions for our meal. loved the rice and vegetable dish and aubergine tempura. Will return. thankyou 🤗

+1La Marmita Alicantina was a great place with excellent food and service. To start I had the garlic prawns with a fried egg. This was a delicious dish with crusty bread to soak the garlic oil with a hint of chilli. For my main course I had the sea bass with swiss chard. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasty and delicious. To finish I had the nougat pudding with ice cream and the pudding was delicious and not overly sweet. The service provided by Roberto and his colleague was attentive but not overly intrusive which is the way that I like it.

Food was excellent - would advise to share plates so you get to taste as many as possible as they’re all delicious. Team serving was super nice, fast and entertaining, making it a memorable experience. We all enjoyed it very much. Don’t forget to book in advance !

9.5/10Great find in this traditional Spanish restaurant away from the tourist area. Amazing food and amazing service! Roberto was great and the owner a real character! Would definitely go back and recommend if you’re looking for quality authentic Spanish food served with a smile for a good price.

8.5/10Coca is a kind of crumbly biscuit with toppings like anchovy or smoked eel. A local lentil and vegetable soup came in an earthenware pot. A local sheep’s cheese was strong and served with raisins. One dessert was a kind of brioche bread soaked with red wine and an ice cream made with another kind of wine. ( no photos as phone died ).

10/10I researched this on the Fork and it did not disappoint, it was my husband’s birthday and our daughter got the train in from Madrid, other daughter in from Ireland to surprise him. The maitre d was superb, very accommodating, the food was excellent, from the scallops to the seabass. If you’re in Alicante this is a must visit. We will be back. 10/10 from the Irish.

10/10Great hosts and great food! We went here twice during our stay and were happy both times. They have more items on their menu than listed on The Fork. Try their coulant de Turron. It's now my all time favourite dessert. Will be back when next in Alicante.

8/10A local neighborhood restaurant serving quality Spanish cuisine. Good basic options if what you are looking for is strictly local Alicante fare. Rice options were very good and properly prepared. Suggestions of days appetizers were very good. Wine list is ok. A good quiet place away from the fast lane of tourists and the more modern options of the times…
