9.5/10We had an excellent meal in this restaurant slightly off the central part of the ancient city and away from the tourist crowds.. Wonderful quality produce expertly cooked and presented, with pleasant, understated, service. .Ravioles aux capes a particular treat. Highly recommended.

10/10We were in carcassonne for 5 nights and spent 2 of them at this lovely restaurant . The food is amazing and the hosts excellent. Would recommend to anyone who is a lover of fine food, great atmosphere,and friendly attentive staff

10/10We have visited La Marquiere many times in the past, but have not been for two years. It was good to see that nothing has changed! The food was excellent - this is easily the best restaurant in Carcassonne! The service is first class and very friendly - we were made to feel very welcome. We will be back in July!

9/10The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere: warm and welcoming. It is situated upstairs and the room is split either side of the staircase. Food is excellent, good sized portions and wonderful little additions courtesy of the restaurant. Advice on wine very good.

8.5/10Superb food - really delicious. The burrata to start was amazing, the melon fine but less so. Main course - beef incredible and views were similar for the pasta and the monkfish. The service could have been friendlier but the sommelier was spot on with the tasting wines.

9.5/10I really liked this restaurant for its authentic French cooking. A starter and main (sans dessert) is €34, making it an affordable value. I had the burrata salad which is equal parts cheese, tomatoes and salad. Great combination. For my main, I had the cassoulet, which I hadn’t had yet in France. Juicy and moist, the meat fell off the bone. Delicious. Ask to be seated in the patio as it is charming and pretty well ventilated for the summer.
