The food was not good at all. The 1/2 chicken with garlic sauce and Mediterranean tuna were so salty. Vegetables Paella and the appetizer of shrimps ware not too bad. Would not recommend this restaurant for anyone.

A pleasant visit with decent food and nice ambience. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived and were seated immediately. We initially ordered fish soup (for both), octopus, and sea snapper mains. However, 10 minutes later, while heading to the restroom, a waiter quietly informed me that the fish soup was unavailable—odd, as they’d let us order it and hadn’t approached us earlier. We replaced it with Salmorejo (delicious!) and goat cheese starters. The mains were tasty, though not outstanding. For dessert, we had vaisitos with cheesecake bases and vanilla ice cream—again good, but not exceptional. Service was mixed: sometimes a 10-15 minute wait between courses, and it took a while to catch someone’s eye to pay (had to remind them of the fork discount). Restroom had soap, clean, but water all over floor .Clearly a place that gets 'busy' (and we were there when not busy). Overall, a decent meal in a pleasant setting and would return.

My wife and I selected the restaurant based on its excellent reviews on Google and The Fork. We made a reservation through The Fork and arrived a few minutes ahead of our scheduled time. We were quickly seated and ordered a Sangria, a Pepsi, and a seafood paella. However, it took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We had to remind another waiter to bring them, as it seemed our original server had forgotten. Even then, it took an additional 10 minutes for the drinks to finally come. The paella for two (priced at 36 euros) arrived after a 50-minute wait. While the food was flavorful, we felt it wasn't worth the cost. When we requested the bill, no one came, so we had to go to the counter to pay. The bill was incorrect, as they charged us for 'pan y picos,' which we didn't have. After asking them to correct it, the total came to 42.40 euros. The service was very disappointing—slow and disorganized. The food is overpriced for its quality.

I ate very well and the service was good. The mussels in my paella had barnacles on them that should've been scraped off, but it's just a minor inconvenience.

Recommended by friends from a previous visit, the restaurant was busy at lunchtime, so booking is advisable, the food was excellent and came in large portions so choose carefully! Service good and staff very friendly

Title: A Culinary Voyage to Sevilla's Heart: La Mediterránea Reviewed Upon a whimsical yet calculated choice, I found myself at the heart of Sevilla, ready to delve into the culinary realm that is La Mediterránea. Nestled at C. San Fernando, 23, the restaurant stands a mere half a kilometer from the awe-inspiring Catedral de Sevilla, beckoning the curious and the hungry alike. Though the depths of its history remain somewhat veiled, its location in a city so steeped in history suggests a narrative worth a tale. The restaurant seems to have embraced the essence of Sevilla, offering a menu that resonates with the local flavors. As British punctuality would have it, I arrived promptly, eager to commence the gastronomic exploration. The polite albeit slightly tardy service nudged the anticipation further. The ambiance, a delicate blend of conviviality and tradition, was momentarily disrupted by the enthusiastic chatter resonating through the space. To whet the appetite, a serving of Croqueta de Cola de Toro graced the table, exuding an aroma that promised a delightful sojourn into Sevilla's culinary tradition. Each bite was a melodious tune of textures and flavors, a prelude to the main course that awaited. As tradition demands, Rabo de Toro was the choice for the main course. The dish arrived with a presentation reminiscent of a painter's final stroke on a masterpiece. The flavor, a complex narrative of Sevilla's love for hearty and authentic cuisine, was a testament to the culinary heritage that La Mediterránea aspires to represent. The harmonious journey through the regional flavors was punctuated by a glass of local Tinto, which, despite a slight delay in its arrival, offered a rich, velvety companion to the robust flavors on the plate. The grand finale, a Tarta de Queso, was a sweet adieu to the culinary voyage. The dessert, albeit a divergence from the meaty narrative, was a sweet, tender close to a meal that echoed the heartbeats of Sevilla. Though the wait for the wine and the bill nudged the patience a tad, the overall experience was akin to reading a well-penned novel with a slightly hurried ending. The narrative was rich, the characters (dishes) were well developed, and the setting was quintessentially Sevilla. The only footnote would be the service, which could use a touch of promptness to match the rhythm of the culinary narrative unfolding at the table. La Mediterránea, with its charming locale and a menu that whispers the tales of Sevilla's culinary heritage, offers a dining experience that, despite minor service hiccups, remains etched in memory as a delightful encounter with Sevilla's gastronomic narrative.

Nice restaurant with terrace at front and large air con rear. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Menu was in English and Spanish - lots of choice but a limited gluten free option for a friend though he could choose something. Wine reasonably priced and tasty. They serve food as it is ready and not in the British custom of bringing all plates together for everyone per course. The food was delicious. Recommended. Very close to centre of Seville
