We love Italian cuisine therefore we decided to go to La Nicoletta. The experience over all was good and the service friendly but a little bit stressed out because there were only very few waitresses for the whole restaurant. The food was also good but it was not as Italian as we expected it. The pizza with spicy salami came without tomato sauce which, I think, was on purpose but was not described as this in the menu. The carbonara Spaghetti were made with cream instead of egg what made it very heavy. It was really good I have to say, just not typical Italian. For dessert we ordered Tiramisu and Cheesecake. The tiramisu was very good although it still included some mini gelatine-plates that tasted a bit like plastic. The cheesecake was a flan of caramel and not a cheesecake but it was really good. Overall I would say that the food is good and the service is nice but there are definitely more authentic Italian places in Madrid.

Only 30% discount applied instead of advertised 40%. Insisted on 2 courses to qualify for discount though there is nothing in promotion specifying a 2 course minimum. Overcharged on wine. Would have queried all these but I have no Spanish and they had no English, so just paid up and left feeling let down.
