Another lovely meal at La Panatella. An innovative take on traditional dishes using fresh ingredients many sourced locally. Fabulous service and wonderful atmosphere. A must if staying in the Orvieto area - a perfect Sunday lunch destination from town.

+2Really memorable meal with our family on holiday together. The food was amazing! Our waiter was very kind and friendly and made us feel welcome (especially as we had young children with us). He was patient with us as we had to translate the menu into English. The wild boar Ragu pasta was incredible and we really enjoyed the aubergine starters! The fried rabbit was also amazing! We renamed it “rabbit popcorn” as the rabbit was deep fried in batter. Just so tasty with the lime and paprika mayonnaise! 😋😋😋 Lovely ambience in this restaurant. All the tables were full. We were glad we had booked before hand! Thank you La Panatella for making our evening so special.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch at Panatella on a beautiful Spring day. Service was excellent and so helpful as one diner required guidance for gluten free options. It genuinely was one of the best meals we’ve had in Italy … my soft egg entree was perfectly seasoned and silky smooth - the beef cheek with carrot puree secondi .. melt in the mouth, tasty and a perfect balance with its accompanying bitter chicory side. Dessert - decadent and chocolatey. With a backdrop of Umbrian rolling hills and Orvieto in the distance - it’s a lovely day trip to an authentic hilltop town. We’ll be back often to sample the rest of the menu!

Had an excellent meal last night at La Panatella, situated in the lovely hilltop village of Allerona. The dishes were creative and delicious, but the exceptional service by host and cameriere Mauro was even better. We will be back again soon.

Food is always good and the prices are reasonable. Waiter has gotten much more gruff and actually detracts from the experience. I personally suspect that he has a bias against americans. Look, I can spend €100-€150 at any restaurant in the Orvieto area, if I’m going to be treated poorly or with an attitude, I will just spend this money elsewhere, pretty sure it will be appreciated.

Such a gem in a picturesque town. The ingredients are put together in such a way that really enhances their flavour. Good portion size too. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and come again. A special meal in a country where most meals are a joy.

The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the waiter was not very welcoming and expressed an attitude toward the table. Maybe he was having a bad day.

We picked the restaurant because of its positive reviews. We were not disappointed. Out on the comfortable terrace with beautiful view, we enjoyed a fabulous three course diner and were serviced by a friendly waiter with a wonderful sense of humor. All in all, we had a splendid evening, and the drive to the restaurant was more than worth it!

This little known gem is truly outstanding for location, ambience, service and of course quality of food and wines. I really recommend the filetto di Manzo, absolute perfection on a plate!!

We were delighted with our meal as this restaurant. What a find! In a sleepy beautiful hill-top town, this is worth the journey. Friendly, professional service and the food was outstanding. Very reasonably priced. We live in London and would expect to pay 3-4 times more for this quality. Excellent wine selection too. Go there!

We ate on the charming restaurant patio. The night was still. The moon shone on us and the patio lights added ambiance. The food was delicious and the presentation amazing. We drank to different regional wines that were a perfect compliment to the meals. Our waiter, Favrou, was professional curtious and patient. It is my favorite so far in all of Italy.

Wonderful jewel box of a restaurant off the beaten path. Marvelous, creative cuisine with an emphasis on local ingredients, warm service and a cute ambience.
