There are two reasons why we return to The Hague as often as we can. The second is because we love the city and the first is to know that we can visit and experience another meal in La Passione. We are always greeted as old friends returning and made to feel special, in all of the years that we have been going the standard of the food, the service, the welcome and the feeling of belonging have never changed. It is that consistency and the love that the owner has for his restaurant that will keep us returning for as long as we are physically able.

I tasted one of the best raviolis that I have had for many years. Very delicate. I know the place for quite some time and I always liked it. But I have the impression that they have even improved. We drank also a very fine Italian from Umbria. My friends chose the fish menu and they were also delighted. Grazie.

Last Saturday, before heading to a concert, my friends and I had dinner at La Passione in The Hague. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome. The restaurant isn’t large, but the intimate, cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor made it feel right. What really stood out is that they don't offer your average Italian menu, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the parsnip soufflé, which had a lovely texture and was well-prepared. However I felt the parsnip flavor was somewhat lost due to the overpowering presence of Parmesan cheese, which dominated the dish. I would have liked a bit more balance so the parsnip could shine. I had the marinated beef cheeks as main served with a parsnip purée draped over the top. The beef was tender and flavourful, and the parsnip purée added a nice smoothness without overwhelming the dish. It was an enjoyable evening. Good food, cozy atmosphere and good service. It’s worth noting that the prices are on the higher side. I recommend this restaurant.

The wibe is really nice, but service is very slow and patchy. Food ok but nothing special. We liked the Sardinian Cannonau red wine but there was only bottle and the substitute was not up to the same level. Based on other reviews, We expected much better.

What a great restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble, friendly waiters, great wine list. We went for the surprise menu and were delighted. Will definitely return.

The food was good, but serve it a litlle bit warmer. The desert and coffee afterwards were great. It’s a bit noisy, but that is because its not very large and it was fully booked. Add some more small side dishes (fries, potatoes, rice, salade) to the main course. I am little bit in doubt, so I will visit it again to see how its then.

This nice Italian restaurant, has an excellent service with very knowledgeable staff. The wines were fantastic. All ordered dishes had a wonderful taste and we will for sure visit this nice place again.

La Passione is always my first stop when visiting The Hague. Tellis (owner) and his staff are always helpful, alert and courteous. The food is amazing and I’ll just say, go with the chefs menu and let Tellis suggest wine pairings - he always pulls out great Italian or Eastern European wines.

Amazing service and very delicious food! We invited my Girlfriend to this restaurant for her birthday celebrations. The staff was extremely polite and we were served pretty fast. In addition, they've put a candle in the lavacake we ordered for my Girlfriend and also gave her wine for present. Absolutely satisfied with this service, it's top-class and we recommend it to everyone! Jakub

We have visited The Hague several times over the past few years and one of the highlights and must do’s is to have a meal at Le Passione. We are always greeted like old friends & the food and service never disappoints. This is a very special restaurant and it is both run and overseen by someone who cares about his customers and the experience that they have. Thank you!
