10/10Excellent service for our last night in Venice. Found it as it was nearby the hotel where we were staying in the Cannaregio district. The food and service were top notch. Wish I had found it a day earlier for a birthday dinner, it would have been perfect. Full menu with options for any taste. Next trip to Venice, we will definitely be going back!

10/10La Patatina di San Giacomo was a wonderful experience start to finish. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. Service was excellent. Even the house wine was delicious. Highly recommend a visit. We sat in the rear terrace, but they also have a front cafe on the piazza and indoor seating.

10/10This was a lovely restaurant to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We dined in the peace of the garden terrace. Food and service was excellent. We shared the grilled shrimps main as a starter, had the clam linguine and then sea bass as a main. We finished with millefoglie and mint tea. All delicious. The bottle of Lugano was fabulous. Thanks to our hotel for this recommendation.

10/10We were extremely happy with our dinner here. Seemed like we were part of the neighborhood. Kids were playing soccer around us. Folks were walking their dogs. Didn’t feel touristy. And, the food and staff were fabulous!

9.5/10This restaurant was recommended by a friend and we couldn’t be happier. The food was just delicious and the atmosphere around was lovely. Set on not a touristy square, it was surrounded with children playing football and locals resting on benches. Quite a charming and relaxing setting. Our pasta was scrumptious and tiramisu was very good too. The service was attentive. We’ll definitely be back and recommend to others.

9.5/10Food was delicious - the place was recommended to us by a friend. Great seafood dishes. The noise level was loud there, but only because a large British group was eating there at the same time as us. The staff was quick and professional. A great time!

10/10La Patatina (San Giacomo) is one of our favorite spots in Venice. Last night, we enjoyed three incredible selections from the special menu. The Moscardini were tender and delicious. I had the most amazing branzino ravioli with a pistachio scallop sauce. Out of this world! My husband had a delicious sesame seared tuna. Top notch. We shared a millefoglia for dessert. It was so light and delectable! The wine (Lugano) was also wonderful! We will return in a few days!

10/10Had a delightful meal seated in the garden area. Husband had scallops to start (the best he has ever had). He then had a steak which cut like butter. I had the fish of the day - sea bass, it was filleted at the table and served with roasted vegetables- all cooked to perfection - would highly recommend

10/10A lovely restaurant which we have been to several times now. Delightful location in a quieter area of Venice. Service has always been friendly and efficient. Food is nicely presented and good quality although sometimes I find the pasta a little heavy. Three eating areas, one outside at the front of the restaurant, in the restaurant and a rear garden all very pleasant.

10/10We have eaten here several times and it is always a great experience. The choice of dishes was more than ample and the level of cooking very high. Excellent wine list as well. Not the cheapest place to eat but well worth the price.

5.5/10Despite of having made a reservation and arriving on time, we had to wait 1 hour outside before getting our table. If the restaurant doesn't know how to do two services in the evening, it's better to not try to. The fish soup called "bouillabaise" had nothing to do with this typical south French dish normally made with rock fisch, here there was a piece of tuna with crustacean, the soup was way too salty. The crab salad was as tasteless as a glass of water, there was only salad leaves and crab meat, the seasoning/sauce was missing, not even a twist of lemon, fortunately there was some salt on the table to try to bring some taste. The paccheri with scampi was not a success either, the mix with the mushrooms was quite exotic, I even stumbled on a very bitter bite, surely a leftover of scampi entrails/bowel. The waiter was kind, the place seems nice, but the food was not up to standard, quite a shame regarding the asked price of the dishes, never again.

7.5/10I had a very nice meal. The staff were kind and attentive, although very busy. It was quite a chaotic environment, I think not helped by my table being in essentially a corridor of the restaurant - I don't think the experience would have been the same if I had sat outside or in the large room to the rear. I really enjoyed the superiore white wine.

7.5/10Their pastas are good but I got the seafood stew and it was subpar. Bread croutons were stale and all the shellfish was over cooked. Their back patio seating is lovely though.

5.5/10Price quality ratio is low. We ordered a fish carpaccio which happened to be served frozen. Although there was only a few customers in the restaurant waiters were hard to be found. Overall we were not happy with the experience.
