Our 2nd visit here, the previous one for a special birthday. It's very popular, so important to book. If you don't, you'll be treated to a glass of bubbly while you wait. Win, win! Prices are reasonable for the quality and location, plus portions are on the large side. Considering how busy it was, service was good. It's a lively venue, ideal for a group or celebratory meal.

4/10This was not a good restaurant, do not believe the reviews! I found bones in my chicken Cesar salad, the pizza was greasy, the Hugo spritz did not have any mint or lemon, and they tried to rush us through the whole meal. They gave us our appetizer and 30 seconds later tired to give us our food. The restaurant itself was cozy, but the price was not worth our experience or the food. This is certainly a tourist trap.

6/10We had a very mixed experience. Of the four dishes we ordered, two were good, worthy of a 4, one was just okay and the spaghetti was disappointing, supposedly homemade but without the mouth feel of a good homemade spaghetti and covered in a fine but ordinary tomato sauce. The dinner rolls were pretty tasteless, comparable to packaged mass produced rolls, and the spinach we ordered never arrived. The service was a bit slow, not surprising because the restaurant serves masses of people, including large groups. The restaurant is well reviewed on a couple of websites so maybe it was an off night, but we were disappointed.

5.5/10The food was very mediocre. It was our last meal in Venice and the least impressive. It tasted like a decent pizza place at best, but charged prices like an upscale restaurant. The wine was so bad that we did not finish it. I also ate less than half my entre. We were not curious about desert. On top of that, there were flies circling around as we ate. When we came in there were half full Prosecco glasses balanced on a garbage can. I thought they were half finished from a party but we watched the greeter hand them out to the people waiting in line outside to eat. Those glasses were there at least 30 minutes.

2/10Absolute chaos and deception. We were promised a 5-minute wait for pizza at La Piazza, only to watch multiple parties without reservations seated immediately. The worst part? We were then actively misled and marched over to their 'sister' restaurant, La Piazza, a completely different, high-end establishment with a minuscule, overpriced pizza selection. They rushed us to order drinks, clearly intending to trap us into dining there. We walked out. This is a classic tourist trap - dishonest service, blatant queue-jumping, and a bait-and-switch that wastes customers' time. Avoid at all costs

5/10Although the restaurant is lively and the ambiance is good, the food was very sub par. Further, the service wasn’t great either. Our particular server took about 20 minutes to deliver our bill after clearing our plates and us expressing we didn’t want dessert and were okay to take the bill. The best part of my meal was the salad, so that says a lot. Lobster pasta was okay, but not worth it.

The service was perfect, the restaurant was of very high quality, and the food was delicious! It was also very safe! I forgot my bag, but when I went back, I found that the restaurant had kept it for me and told me not to worry as there were surveillance cameras. Everything was just perfect.

6.5/10It was a very pretty restaurant and Greta location. Service was excellent (even received a free glass of wine while we waited for our table as it wasn’t ready when we got there). Unfortunately the food was subpar. My pasta dish was just okay and not very appetizing and the fish of the day recommended was bland and super small and overpriced. Not the best food especially considering the location.

Out of all the restaurants in Venice that we tried, this was by far our favourite. Went back a second time. Food and staff is terrific. Lasagna was amazing.

6.5/10Service and staff were decent. Definitely trying to turn over tables quickly in an insanely busy and touristy part of the city. Wine selection is non existent that we could tell- basically order a bottle of house red or white. We got salmon and avocado carpaccio to start which was pretty bad-legit 0 taste. I got lasagna bolognese which was actually pretty good. My wife had a tuna pasta dish- pasta and sauce were decent the tuna was overcooked and dry. There are tons of good restaurants in venice- just need to venture outside the tourist trap of San Marco.

2/10Sat at the table for over 25min with no service. A couple seated after us got service twice while we were ignored. Also seated next to a very loud, busy dumbwaiter area. Which I understand someone has to be sat there but that coupled with servers repeatedly walking past us & ignoring us while tables around us that arrived later were getting attention? Disappointing.

10/10Our waiter was amazing! Provided great suggestions about the menu and was very kind. A bit of wait even with a reservation but they provided a drink as we waited, and we didn’t mind. Sat upstairs overlooking the restaurant, and it was very cute. My pasta was AMAZING, and my husband loved his pizza. One of my favorite meals from our trip. Thank you for a great evening in Venice!

5.5/10My sword fish (Pesce spada con salsa agli agrumi) was ok, although noting special, but my husband's mix of shrimps, prawns and sepia (Gran frittura Ducale), according to him, was terrible, probably the worst he ever had. The waiters were efficient, but no professional curtesy or smile, whatsoever. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not at all like the pictures on the internet. Besides, we ordered a simple focaccia at the beginning, but it was charged as a pizza marguerita. So, no, in our opinion, it is not worth the money or the time.

I came here because a Japanese YouTuber recommended it, and I was amazed by the long line—it really showed me how popular this place is! I was so glad I had made a reservation. Even while waiting, they offered us drinks, which was a nice touch you’d expect from such a well-loved restaurant. The staff were also used to Japanese guests—one of them even said “ikazumi?” in Japanese with a smile. The squid ink pasta was absolutely delicious, and there was also a stew (I forgot the name) that was just incredible. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!!

10/10I made the reservation. Many months in advance and after walking around for hours and not finding the place.I finally did and it was worth all the walking.Cause the food was just fabulous and the people and the environment as well. Glad I waited out.
