10/10It was our last night in Mougins after years of coming regularly to our holiday home, and it turned out to be a fitting farewell to a place we came to love so much. La Place, and before that the Feu Follet, has always been one of our favourite restaurants and yesterday, as expected, it did not disappoint. We even had the opportunity to say good-bye to the Chef, Denis Fetisson.

6/10Quality versus price out of balance. 3 small pieces ravioli en 2 small pieces of lamb almost 90 euro.. Michelin prices for none michelin quality. Sorry to tell as we always look for the positive. The bisque was absolutely the best choice, so big compliment for that!

10/10La Place de Mougins delivers an excellent standard of cuisine and service. Just brilliant and in a beautiful relaxed setting. It’s a notch more expensive than other Mougins restaurants, wine list also noticeably pitched higher, but a great experience.

9.5/10We come multiple times every year and it is always a special event to dine here. We can’t recommend the Produit d‘honneur menu enough. I cannot tolerate gluten and they were always able to accommodate me and change the menu accordingly. Service usually is a 10/10 and the staff has been the same for years; just last time with newer staff it wasn’t quite up to standard (e.g. asking if although i cannot tolerate gluten if I could still eat the cake, not having gluten free bread prepared even though I had called in advance to make sure they knew - these things did not happen before and everything was excellent). Still a wonderful experience and we will be back many times to taste the wonderful creations of Denis Fetisson!

4.5/10The food at this restaurant was correct. But we were placed on the street not in a nice corner and then there quality of the service were not at all in line with the proces asked. Also the flexibility is low, seen our demand foor a smal change in one of the starters, which they wanted to accept, but only foor almost the double prive (55 euro in stead of 25 euro, for a starter!).

10/10Great restaurant in the centre of Mougins. The restaurant itself is actually quite a small foot print but it has multiple levels and very considerably extended terraces under cover. Electronic menu’s which are very easy to navigate and a good selection of “menu” meals. Be prepared for these to be EUR 85-115. We ordered the “produce of honour“, which in 22 Sept 2023 was lobster. 5 courses devoted to lobster. Carefully created dishes by the chef/owner who has been in residence since 2010. Glass of house white (petit Chablis) was from a very good vintage. Lovely amuse-bouches to keep your palate sated between dishes. Will definitely look out for this restaurant if I come to Mougins again.

10/10We love La Place de Mougins. we have been several times at various times of the year and we make it our little go to place whenever we are visiting the area. The food is tremendous - interesting and light and the chef Denis Fetisson always uses fresh and in-season ingredients. What we also truly love is the low key approach from the extremely professional staff. Worth mentioning that La Place offers several menus including a wonderful lunchtime for €49.
