We have been visiting Mougins for over 30 years and have been eating at Place de Mougins previously Fou De Folet for 30 years. The restaurant in our eyes can do no wrong. The food, service, and ambience are exemplary. We have had so many lunches & meals here and never been disappointed or had any complaints but have been very happy with our time there. My wife calls it her Happy Place. We love Mougins and love Place De Mougins.

a tale of two halves... I enjoyed the majority of the food, I did not enjoy the ravioli or the main which was pigeon. Extremely undercooked. / raw.. really unpleasant on the pallet found a few of the dishes like seasoning. Small things matter like having coasters for glasses in a Michelin star restaurant which were not supplied.. the chair I sat on was damaged whilst it didn't affect the dining experience. It's just not something I'd expect from a high-end restaurant like this.

What a haven this lovely restaurant is. Just walking through the front door the diner feels special-warmly greeted, led to one of several cozy dining rooms on split levels or to the outside terrace and then immediately started off with a beautifully presented chef's choice amuse bouche. From there, there are three prix fixe menu options-one seasonally based, one based on memorable regional dishes the chef loved as a child, and one more "modern/signature". Menu pricing ranges from 85-130 euro for 3 courses-well priced given the excellent quality of food and service. There's an a la carte menu as well. Everything is delicious, beautifully presented, and can be well paired to wines by the glass or bottle-our waiter made great food and wine pairing suggestions, as well as being professional and friendly at the same time....best meal we had in Mougins!

The food was amazing! I had the Zucchini Courses and that was great and fun to try. We had several of the servers, and a couple of them were really lovely. Our main server, she wasn’t as friendly as the others, so that was my only tiny issue. Overall, we would return.

It was our last night in Mougins after years of coming regularly to our holiday home, and it turned out to be a fitting farewell to a place we came to love so much. La Place, and before that the Feu Follet, has always been one of our favourite restaurants and yesterday, as expected, it did not disappoint. We even had the opportunity to say good-bye to the Chef, Denis Fetisson.

Quality versus price out of balance. 3 small pieces ravioli en 2 small pieces of lamb almost 90 euro.. Michelin prices for none michelin quality. Sorry to tell as we always look for the positive. The bisque was absolutely the best choice, so big compliment for that!

La Place de Mougins delivers an excellent standard of cuisine and service. Just brilliant and in a beautiful relaxed setting. It’s a notch more expensive than other Mougins restaurants, wine list also noticeably pitched higher, but a great experience.

We come multiple times every year and it is always a special event to dine here. We can’t recommend the Produit d‘honneur menu enough. I cannot tolerate gluten and they were always able to accommodate me and change the menu accordingly. Service usually is a 10/10 and the staff has been the same for years; just last time with newer staff it wasn’t quite up to standard (e.g. asking if although i cannot tolerate gluten if I could still eat the cake, not having gluten free bread prepared even though I had called in advance to make sure they knew - these things did not happen before and everything was excellent). Still a wonderful experience and we will be back many times to taste the wonderful creations of Denis Fetisson!

The food at this restaurant was correct. But we were placed on the street not in a nice corner and then there quality of the service were not at all in line with the proces asked. Also the flexibility is low, seen our demand foor a smal change in one of the starters, which they wanted to accept, but only foor almost the double prive (55 euro in stead of 25 euro, for a starter!).
