The service is amazing, food delicious, the place is beautiful

One of the best dinners I have had. Everything was perfect. The food was at the right temperature, and properly seasoned. The staff attentive to all the tables and their educated recommendations made the experience unique. Please congratulate the chef and all the team as the experience is thanks to all the staff ! Special thanks to the restaurant manager who did an outstanding job!

Food was average. But not bad. Service not so good. Uninterested staff. No attention to details. Not welcoming or during the service made us not feel welcome. Some tables got a lot of attention, we were left aside. Wines can be expensive. The one we ordered was not available, that is a normal thing in French restaurants we feel. But once given a wine list we should be told what wine is not available. One of the glasses had black sediment, we were given a clean glass but that means we were down one glass. There was not apology for it. It was a bit of a shame as we were looking forward to the experience. The bread, starter and dessert were very nice but the main was a bit boring and showed no skill from the kitchen. Basically roast veal on a salad. We were expecting something a bit more.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. I couldn’t fault anything. The Promenade menu was not bad value for money. A particular acknowledgement to my waiter Alexis whose enthusiasm really made the meal special.

Visit was menu dinner for 4, 16 Feb 2026. Food: fois gras de canard was excellent, main dish haunch of venison turned out to be breaded minched meat (likely from day before) and dessert (pear tarte) had been frozen and was rather tasteless without any accompanying topping. Service: very kind but rather long waiting time for giving orders taking the number of guests at the time into account. For wine selection: white wine (own choice, 90 €) was OK, red wine (sommelier's recommendation, 110 €) was quite neutral without any character. Mentioning our disappointment to the waiter was accepted and a digestive for compensation was kindly offered, however, we chose to decline. Ambience was excellent.

La Rotunde at the Negresco is outstanding! The staff are courteous, helpful & professional. The food is amazing, meticulously played & delicious. The ambiance inside the restaurant is warm & inviting with the ornate ceiling of the ever changing night sky that adds to the overall elegance. I had the delicious tuna crudo followed by the avocado quinoa salad which was a masterpiece almost too pretty to eat! Recommendation to have a beverage at the Negresco bar before or after dinner to add to the experience.

The interior of the hotel and resturant was suprisingly amazing. And the food was very delicious "oishii" in japanese.

The champagne reception was lovely with a most attentive staff. At the banquet itself, the service was sporadic. We sat for about three quarters of an hour with nothing except a glass of water while other guests who came later were served straight away. Everyone was served the second starter except us but they came with the main which we sent away while we waited for the starter. The food was good except for the main course and pudding which were not to my taste. Overall not a great experience except for the round room decor and great jazz music.

Great place, service excellent, atmosphere top. What I liked the most is that even if the restaurant was closing the waitress finished to unset the table, got the payment and told us, with a beatiful smile, that we can stay further if we like. This the service I like the most. If I can give a suggestion, there are margins of improvements for the espresso, but I'm Italian, so I understand we're often too picky on that.

An exceptional long wait between the first and second course (40 minutes) and after we asked for our check an additional half an hour. The food was good but not great.

We had a delicious and enjoyable meal, but we didn’t receive one of dishes we ordered. We were already gut, so we didn’t ask for it, but that was the fact.

Food quality was good, but we found the service a bit disappointing today. It started off okay but the level progressively got lower. Communication between staff members does not appear to be very good.

We had better starters than main courses. The starters were inventive and delicious, the entrees were good and well prepared but not special. It’s a lovely room and the staff are very welcoming and warm.

This restaurant surpassed expectations. Service level was impeccable. We were there for my wife’s birthday. Excellent food all the way around. Eat outside if weather is good. Inside was quite interesting in a great way with the lighted ceiling.

The first server was vey unaccomplished. The FishSoup's one of three types of fish had an overpowering fishy smell and taste that did not go well with the sauce itself. Overall, the dining experience was OK but for the price, we have been to many more restaurants with finer food and consistent service.

I’ve always loved La Rotonde and have been there many times over the years. Unfortunately, this isn’t a one-time observation, after several recent visits, the experience has clearly declined. The setting remains beautiful, and dishes like the foie gras and desserts are consistently excellent. But the main courses lack the refinement and technical precision you’d expect at this level. The most disappointing part is the service. Each time, lunch has stretched to over three hours, which feels excessive. We’ve often been served by multiple different staff members (up to five during a single meal), creating confusion and inconsistent attention. On several occasions, we’ve had to pour our own wine and water and were left without proper follow-up. La Rotonde used to feel magical. I truly hope they can bring that magic back, because the potential is still there.

The food was good, but I find this place to be terribly overpriced. 12 Euros for a bottle of water and 12 Euros for a cappacino. The quality of the food compared to other high end restaurants in the region was not better. And in total the bill was much more than what you would normally pay. I think you are paying to eat at "Negresco".
