8/10Food came quickly. Slightly annoying to not get hand wipe or a bol with warm water and lemon, after the sea shell dish. Very nice location and away from street traffic.

10/10If you look a tradional French Bistro, this is it but more. Young talented crew cooking and serving with passion. Picrure of Le Salamandre could be the defining image in wikipedia for such place. Amazing food. Reserve your table via the well functioning online service during high season. I visit Versailles 6-8 times a year and Le is always on my list. 13/10.

10/10The best steak frites in Versailles, so good I’ve been twice and I’ll go again before I leave. Tried a few other places and they don’t beat La Salamandre on presentation, quality, taste and value. Very good desserts and Irish coffee too. Perfect service and dog friendly too. Give it a go!

10/10This is such a great gem. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is all prepared in house based on the day’s ingredients. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Fantastic experience.

6.5/10The menu is very short. We ordered sea bass, which was overcooked. Prices are reasonable, so I'd say you get a reasonable meal for what you pay. xx

10/10Fantastic fresh food cooked and presented beautifully. Knowledgeable English speaking staff. Perfect surroundings. Choose the 2 or 3 course plat de Jour which is very reasonably priced or go A la Carte for something really special. We splashed out and went ALaCarte plus a couple of cocktails then a carafe of wine each (2 of us) 112€ = £100. That was the alcohol that pushed that up! Can recommend.

7/10We were served far too quickly. We asked for glasses of champagne. 2 minutes later he took Our order and 5 minutes later the food arrived. We were in and out on 45 minutes. Not a relaxing evening. The food was okay, but must have been pre- prepared. I wouldn’t return.

10/10Had a great evening with 3 adults and 7 kids. The waiters were very understanding, the food and wine were great, all in all a great night. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

10/10By far our best value for our money on this vacation. Very close to Versailles. Wine and dessert selections were excellent. Very good steak dish, and we also enjoyed the chicken in pastry with zucchini. Upstairs seating area was especially beautiful.

9/10The maitre d’ was excellent,gave good recommendations and once we had ordered the service was good.We had a risotto with prawns and a scallop cake to start which were hot and well cooked and then veal grenadins and a duck breast which were pink and delicious.Lime cheesecake and Charlotte poire chocolate to finish.Both delist.The Rousillon Rose was in fact a Gris but dry and good value.All in all a really good meal and a thoroughly enjoyable restaurant.

7/10We requested for a carafe d’eau and a bottle of water, the carafe d’eau never arrived. I asked for a steak saignant and it came overcooked. The fries were soggy. We did not have much time to eat so we paid and left. The location is very nice and quiet and service is good. Perhaps we just went on a bad night.

10/10Fantastic meals. Went first night of our trip then went back the next two and ended up trying pretty much everything off the menu. All faultless. Superb welcome. Highly recommend the courgette starter!

9/10Lovely small restaurant. Service very good but not overbearing. Nice wine selection, the menu was limited but we'll done and flavoursome. Definitely worth seeking out.
