2/10Service was slow. The options for gluten free dining were limited. It took 30 minutes to be advised that I wouldn’t be able to have the potatoes because of cross contamination: but we were still served a whole plate of potatoes and my husband also had some on his plate. The full plate went to waste. The vegetables were frankly awful! Completely overcooked and inedible. Husband had half a chicken which was tasty, but he was very ill that night, and we suspect he had food poisoning. The mushroom risotto was okay. The toasted smoked cheese and ham was literally just that! A large plate of warm cheese and ham!!! Not the best end to our holiday.

4.5/10Bad service, long wait for our food! The ravioli was cold both the sauce was cold, the ham plate it wasn’t something special … the meat was ok but without garnish, the dessert it was ok not something special! And at the end we payed cash we left the money at the table with Tip even though the food was bad and because there were people and we waited how long for the waitress to come and because the next table did exactly the same we got up… and the waitress insulted us that I didn't pay in front of the crowd!! Just a mess…

10/10Incredible! Do yourself a favor, order the steak special for 2. One of the best steaks I have ever had(and I have had a lot!). Do not miss this restaurant when in Florence…make reservations!

4/10The foods and wine were pretty basic. The service was somehow offensively an-attentive. I had to ask to take my order even I was the second customer at that time. After that, pretty scarce attention. There was a crushed mosquito on the wall, and a household fly was flying all the way even in March. I hope it is the basic in Firenze, otherwise this place’s evaluation is a bit high.

5.5/10The restaurant is in the middle of the famous area of the city.The dishes was ordinary for Italian cucina.The waiter added 5 Euro to our bill without any explanation (it can be a tip but it must explain us)

10/10I cannot tell you enough how much we adored this place. After looking for AGES for a restaurant that does bistecca florentine (traditional steak) for a decent price with a chic vibe, we found this little gem. It has a gorgeous, unpretentious atmosphere and a fun, lovely team and chefs, all with a bangin’ steak, range of chiantis and incredible other dishes including a cheese soufflé ????. This restaurant made our trip. Go go GO, you won’t regret it!

4.5/10Service was awful! Our waitress ignored us the whole time but managed to serve a three course a la carte meal with changes to the couple next to us in less time than it took her to serve us two courses from a set menu (2.5 hours for two courses!). We waited over 40 minutes for our dessert (third course in the set menu) so long that we decided not to bother and asked for the bill instead when we were eventually able to get her attention. She charged us for the dessert she never served.

6.5/10V slow service. The steak came slightly cold. It was a disappointment because this restaurant came with recommendation. Probably their service would be better outside rush hours.

9.5/10Family dinner of 4. Our server was very educated on the food & wine and very was attentive and met all our needs. The food was beyond our expectations!! We ordered the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. The BEST steak we have ever had!! It melted in our mouths like butter. Delizioso ????.

5.5/10As a Taiwanese who has lived in the USA for 8 years, I can easily tell that the restaurant was treating us differently with micro aggression. Both of the waiters who served us were passionately greeting white Europeans and white Americans but not us. They only paid necessary/minimum attention to us but nothing further. Their attitude treating us was as if we were invisible.

9.5/10Steak was the nicest I’ve ever had (be aware it’s automatically cooked rare). The sides were very hot and were very generous portions. Staff were extremely friendly. Highly recommend.

10/10We have visited Florence fir 7 years and always visit La Spada. The staff are excellent and the Florentine steak is to die for.. would definitely recommend if you want excellent service and fantastic food!

9.5/10This established restaurant is made up of several small rooms on different levels up or down a few steps. The centerpiece is their rotisserie which has many different meats cooking and they specialize in beefsteak. It is cooked rare and cool in the middle, Florentine style, so buyer beware. The antipasti, primi and secondi are all extremely good. Service is pleasant, engaging and very wanting to please the guests. Close to Piazza dells Republica, about four blocks.

10/10We were advised to dine here by our hotel receptionist, as we were asking for a really good local restaurant. We loved everything and will be back! Food was five stars and staff was highly efficient and friendly!

5.5/10We were really looking forward to eating here after many positive reviews and suggestions from friends, however we were not impressed with the food. The steak was a little too cold, and the caprese salad was small with unripened tomatoes. The service was good and friendly. however we were also surrounded by fruit flies at our table which was a little annoying.
