We did not enjoy our meal. For the price, we expected fine dining and impeccable service. Unfortunately, we were not impressed by the food and found many courses to be “missing” something. The foie gras was undercooked and unpleasant, the veal had an overly sweet batter (that was also very soggy) and we did not enjoy any of the seafood courses. There was not a single course that we felt was “wow” worthy, and typically we are very impressed by this type of cuisine. The service was very disjointed. We asked our server early on if there was a sommelier, and she said no. Then we asked if she enjoyed wine and could make a recommendation, and she also said no. A few moments later we asked another server if she had wine recommendations, and she suggested we speak to the sommelier. Then, she sent over the “sommelier” and a shock to us, it was the original server who told us there was no sommelier and that she was not familiar with wine. Throughout the meal, the “sommelier” reached over our arms and plates to pour and attempted to pour while we were mid-sip. We had never experienced that at a high end restaurant before. Later, the server came over and asked what we’d like for ourdessert cheese course - but did not tell us this was not a part of the pre-fix meal . We were never asked if we wanted an extra course, and it was offered when we had 2 courses left so it appeared to be one of the remaining courses. Instead, we were charged for this course (which we would not have ordered had we been informed this was not part of the tasting, as it was unnecessary). It seemed like we had a different server every course, which felt disorganized and impacted the timing of the me. Overall, this was an incredibly expensive meal that we did not enjoy. The quality, flavor, and service did not match the price tag. We would not recommend.
